Anybody able to make new accounts?
That suspicious payment activity error been having me up for days till I realized even the most legit accounts get it, which makes me think, does everyone get it now? Seems like it.

Did you try to email them and ask wtf? I opened new acc like one week ago and it was blocked (suspicious payment shit) in 10 mins but I contacted them and after few days got account back. However I haven't made any ads yet so I dont know how long it will last when I start to advertise

Guess I'll have to start doing that. What type of verification did they ask?

- Are you the true owner of the payment method added to your
Facebook account? If not, why?
- Are you a professional advertiser? If so, which client or
marketing agency do you represent?
- Have you initiated a dispute on charges from Facebook with your
bank, credit card company or PayPal?
There was one more email and they asked few question yet but I acted like a scared moron. Replied and one day after acc was live again.

I've heard that if the Ips address is too far from the credit card zipcode, then you get this error. I'm having the same issues too, i'm going to try now with a closer ip address, and let you guys know.

For non-us credit cards: does facebook also check the zip code or just the country?

From my own experience (several new accounts getting the "suspicious payment activity" message) - if you contact them and answer their questions you should be fine and they'll reactivate your account. All three accounts for which I contacted Facebook after the disabling got reactivated after following their procedure and answering their questions.
The way I see it, and let me know if you think otherwise: this is just Facebook's way of checking if you're serious advertisers - much like when you apply to an affiliate network and you need to call them so they'll have you approved. And if you want - when you hit on a girl and she tells you she has a boyfriend ;-)
By the way, for two of those accounts I used a prepaid CC (not virtual) and for the third I used my Mastercard.
Also, when I tried opening an account with a VCC (Entropay) I got disabled while the reason was difference in regions between the credit card and the physical location of the computer.

Is PayPal the way to go, what information from paypal does Facebook see? I.E. Name address etc?

They'll track it down if you use the same credit card details on your PayPal account.

This is true it happened to me too when I signed up from a IP location that is far from billing address. If you are using a VPN it needs to be in your area.

I've tried multiple times to set up a new account. I've tried several times now, and done it cleanly - ie. no cookies, fresh ip address, new Bank of America Shopsafe credit card number on each attempt, yet they keep disabling my account as soon as I submit the CC info and try to place an order.
At first I was using Overplay as a proxy through one of their servers in the city I live in. Account shut down again, so I thought maybe they know I am using a proxy server, so I went to Starbucks across the street and tried to set up a new account, and the same thing happened. In both cases I was careful to clear cookies, and set up entirely new accounts with new CC#s. Any other suggestions?

Hey limitless,
I don' have any experience with the Shopsafe CC but I looked it up on the Bank of America website and it says:
"ShopSafe® is a free credit card fraud protection service that allows you to create a temporary card number each time you make an online purchase. This number links directly to your real credit card account number but keeps your card number completely private and protected."
Are your Shopsafe CC's linked to a credit card you used with a FB account that got disabled?
This could be the answer to your question.

They are likely red flagging the ShopSafe
BINS.
Is anyone having success recently using ShopSafe cards?

"Linked" internally by BofA. There would be no way for FB to tell the card number that the ShopSafe card is linked to... that would defeat the entire purpose of the ShopSafe system.

Hey they might be I can't recall, but all of my friends who do this use shopsafe. I think when they say "link," it just means that the charges will go to that cc, but it wouldn't make sense that the vendor would be able to see the actual # of the cc since the whole point of shopsafe is to protect that information.

Ok I figured it out methinks. Not sure exactly what did it but I was told to clear out my flash cookies, and to create a new user account for windows. It worked!!!
So here is what I used:
1) Overplay VPN with server in my home city
2) New shopsafe BOA # - (physical address numbers were true - street number and zip - but I changed the name of the street and my name.)
3) Cleared flash cookies
4) Created new user account for Windows
5) Obviously new fb account with new email

I have another theory (after losing MANY accounts)
- When you create a new Facebook account and immediately start using it for advertising only you get flagged very quickly.
- Any form of payment method that cannot confirm your name and address will get the "suspicious payment activity" email after a few weeks. Its usually when your account gets a manual check after 1 to 4 weeks.

Hey deonddup,
From my experience a new account I create gets reviewed one day after I submit the first ad and add the payment method, and then it gets disabled for suspicious payment activity.
Also, not only payment methods that can't confirm the name address get the "suspicious payment activity" email - when I created a new account using my personal Mastercard and my personal address I also received this message.

Have you used any of those personal details before? On a banned account?
It will get you flagged very quickly

The way to get around this is to use a BOA shopsafe CC #, and use the real numbers, but don't use the real street and person name, because for some reason when processing payments the CC only need the numbers to be right. So for example say your real name and real address is:
John Doe
333 Mulberry St.
Los Angeles, CA 90210
Then you would be able to put the information into facebook payments like so and it would work:
Scott Jackson
333 Fontaine Ave
Los Angeles, CA 90210

In your experience, is the solution is to simply use the account for other things, such as commenting, adding friends, status updates, etc. or is it to wait for a while before beginning to advertise?
Cheers

I have, and the account got disabled, but as I said I contacted FB and got the account reactivated. I'm not sure it was disabled because of my personal details, I think it's just because it's a new advertiser account.

Just buy complete phone verified accounts.
I keep a few in the fridge and just log in every now and again to keep them looking active. when I need a new ads account I can just use on of them

my advice.....which contradicts my prior advice due to recent FB changes....is not to buy PVA's......the last batch I bought most got popped as soon as the hit a certain level of spend.....
alot of your PVA's come from china....with a china cell number and I think this is part of the reason they are getting flagged....so being the less than semi-smart guy I am I tried to change the phone number before I used the PVA....which only ended up getting the whole account banned shortly there afterward.....
after fucking around with this for a while I said to myself.....self this is a waste of time......now I just use biz accounts.....it far less hassle.....

Agree.
Done with these Mickey Mouse accounts that get banned for no reason. Its crazy and quite frankly I find it extremely amusing how FB deals with it all.
@ Polar
What sort of stuff are you running on your Bizz accounts? Have you found that they watch you more closely (for aff stuff) ?

I haven't noticed anything diff than a regular account tbh....(knock on wood).....I don't do much dating though....and I personally feel that FB hates on that with a passion....its like in the break room at FB they have a daily challenge of how many dating aff's accounts they can pop in a day....
I also keep my account clean...ie....I always delete old camps.....and I always have some "good cause" camp in my account as well.....even just paused....
I find the best way to be a sith is don't to look like one at all.....think Emperor Palpatine before the battle with Windu before his face got all fucked up.....
wiki quote for the day (just in case your not a star wars guy)"... he outwardly behaves like a well-intentioned and loyal public servant, yet underneath his affable public persona lurks his true identity..."
I haven't learned how to shoot force lighting from my hands yet.....but I am working on it....

I've noticed that using a dial up connection helps if used in the beginning. The IP isn't a proxy, if they check. Just make sure the IP you're dialing in from is registered close to where you registered your credit card.
Slow but it works.
YMMV
