Hey Guys, How And Why The Hell Do I Need To Use A Proxy???????

Hey guys, I was speaking to my AM and he told me that if I was serious about my career in affiliate marketing then I should consider getting a proxy.

But why is that? Whats so great about them? Couldn't I just grab WhatRunsWhere for the same thing?

Or am I missing something? Please help my newbie brain

You would wanna get a proxy for various reasons...

1. To check out intl offers (when your AM is not willing to run the extra mile for you by sending you direct offer links, you'd have to find a way to see the offer pages)

2. To spy on your competition - if you want to figure out what others are advertising on a given website in a certain country, it is useful to check the site by using a proxy.

Although I'd recommend you to get a VPN service - such as Hidemyass or Astrill - both of them are very good and cheap!

So is there much of a difference between a service like GeoEdge and HideMyAss?

I'm not exactly sure. Haven't tried GeoEdge, but HideMyAss looks like it has more servers and country coverage for a pretty good price if you purchase 12 months.

GeoEdge is expensive.

Go for a service with a balance of the following:

a) Price
b) Server coverage (all major geos)
c) Speed of connection (how quickly you can jump on/off -- sign up for a trial if possible)
d) Ease of mobile app usage (and that they have a mobile app or guide).

I hear great things about HideMyAss. Would you say they embody everything you've listed or should I keep looking? I'm trying to snoop on Poland btw
