$1 Guide - Introduction (1)
This guide was written with the intention that ANYONE, even (especially!) people that have zero online marketing experience, can follow the steps to make their first $1 in revenue online, in as little as a couple of hours from now.
All over the world, there are people working from their own computers or laptops, quietly making up to USD$xxx to $xxxx to $xxxxx in profits per day (or more – although 6-figures per day in profits is rare, I know at least several people that are doing those numbers consistently).
These people buy website visitors from what are called traffic networks, and redirect these visitors to CPA offers – a process accomplished by running what we call “advertising campaigns” (or simply “campaigns”).
And they’re paid when a visitor signs up for one of these offers.
These people are called affiliate marketers.
If you’d be interested in entering this industry as well, but have zero experience and don’t know where to start, then this guide is written for you.
The affiliate marketing business can be difficult and daunting to learn – in fact, many people that have tried to learn affiliate marketing, never got as far as launching their first campaign.
Let me tell you right now that your first campaign will probably not be profitable. If this business was so easy to learn, everyone would be doing it.
I can’t guarantee you’ll make that first dollar after the $10 spend (because there are too many factors involved that are out of our control), but if you’d follow through with the instructions in this guide, you will have your very first affiliate campaign set up, and very possibly see your first revenue.
Doing so will allow you to get your foot in the door, feel what it’s like to see revenue, and get a feel for what we affiliates do – so you can judge whether to get into this business.
To summarize: What I CAN and WILL do in this PDF, is give you the best chance at making that first dollar on a very small investment of $10 plus a few hours of your time.
If you’re thinking at this point “why would I want to invest $10 into possibly making $1?” then I would suggest that you not even consider entering this business.
Really.
Because if you:
-Are chasing quick money,
-Don’t see the value of education,
-Are expecting it to be easy to reach the 3-5 figures/day in profits without
investment in money and time,
…then the affiliate marketing industry is definitely not a good fit for you. You’ll likely give up before finding any substantial success.
I want to make sure that your expectations are in the right place before you spend further time and money.
How Much Money Will This Require?
To follow this PDF to set up your first campaign, you’ll only need to spend $10 (USD – all amounts in the rest of the PDF will be in this currency). Of course you can choose to spend more at your discretion.
In terms of time, it shouldn’t take more than a few hours to complete – not including time you’ll be spending waiting for the traffic source and affiliate network to approve your accounts.
In order to achieve REAL success though, i.e. be able to make sizeable profits consistently, you’ll need to be prepared to spend $2000 or more – to test different offers and traffic, and learn optimization and scaling.

What Are We Doing Exactly?
In this PDF, I’ll show you how to put an offer in front of website visitors, so that when they take the desired action, you’ll get paid.
Confused? Don’t worry. Let me explain.
First of all, go to this site and click around until you see a full-page ad pop up:

You’ll know you’ve triggered a pop ad when a new tab appears in your browser with a completely different domain name (than the site you were on), and you’re automatically taken to that tab.
The ad can look like anything, but here’s an example:
If you follow through the instructions on the ad to complete the desired action – which in this specific case is to add a chrome extension to your chrome browser – then the affiliate that had put out that ad in the first place would get paid a commission.
What we want to do is be that affiliate – the person to put ads in front of website visitors to make money.
What is an Affiliate Network?
Let’s stick with the above example – the “fromDOCtoPDF” chrome extension.
The owner of that extension wants as many people to install the extension as possible – and because they may not want the hassle of managing affiliates themselves, they have enlisted the help of one or more Affiliate Networks.
This is how it works:
-The affiliate network adds this extension to their offers database, to make it available for affiliates to run.
-We affiliates may choose to run that specific offer. We log into our account on that affiliate network, and grab the url for the offer.
-We show that url to as many website visitors as possible, in the form of a pop ad as described above.
-When a website visitor installs the extension, the owner of the offer will pay money to the affiliate network, and the affiliate network will pay a part of that money to us.
My description of the entire process is almost complete – the last piece of the puzzle being the Traffic Network.
What is a Traffic Network?
Remember that site we went to, that was showing us the ads?

There are 10s/100s of thousands of these sites all over the web, that would gladly show our ads to their visitors – if we’d pay them.
With some of these websites, we can get in touch with the site owners directly to negotiate a deal. And indeed, some affiliates do this with much success.
However, there’s a more convenient way to obtain visitors – or TRAFFIC as we call it: By buying them through a Traffic Network.
The Traffic Network we’ll be working with in this tutorial is PopAds.net. Here’s how it works:
-Website owners that want to sell their traffic (i.e. visitors), sign up to PopAds, grab some code and install that on their websites.
-This will allow PopAds to show ads on their websites.
-We affiliates sign up to PopAds, deposit money, specify how much we want to pay for traffic (i.e. our bid), and specify our offer url that we want to show as pop ads to visitors (aka “setting up a campaign”).
-PopAds will show our ads on the various websites, to the many visitors that visit those sites. We’ll be charged per visitor that sees our ad, and a part of that money will be paid by PopAds to the respective website owner.
Goal of This Tutorial?
In this tutorial, we will set up your 1st campaign on PopAds.net to send traffic to an offer that I know is converting quite well right now (and probably over the next while).
That is our main goal: To take you through how to set up your 1st campaign.
Assuming you get accepted into PopAds and Mobipium (the affiliate network we’ll be using for this tutorial), and that you follow this tutorial to the “T”, and that neither network changes their user interface on us between now and when this report makes it into your hands, you WILL meet this goal!
Our second goal would be for you to make your first conversion. Again, I cannot guarantee that this will definitely happen, but I’d say that chances are VERY GOOD that it will.
Another thing I’ll be doing, is to show you how to optimize your 1st campaign. There is a chance that you may end up with a profitable campaign after some optimizing, but as was mentioned before, don’t be disappointed if
you don’t, as that is not our goal for this 1st campaign.
