Ran with these on a steady basis for a while. As soon as I ramped up the traffic the SUR started to bomb. I'm wondering if they are scrubbing? Do they have 'form' for this?
they will scrub you depending on your quality , if your quality is bad then you going to see low epcs and if your quality is good you are going to see exceptionally high epcs. You can actually go direct with speeddate but i would recommend you only do that if you have good quality traffic.
all dating scrubs.....its all about managing quality.....send high quality leads to mix in with the shit traffic.....even if the high quality just beaks even or is a slight loss.....thats how you can push more volume on dating offers and keep the payout(epc) from getting all wonky......go grab some POF traffic and mix it in on the same offer...your running elsewhere....
Thanks guys.
Anyone had problems with an advertiser complaining about your FB traffic quality? It's happened to me twice on international offers.
Okay . . . here's a dumb question. Why would someone join a different dating site from POF? Isn't that what POF is about?
I've worked with speeddate, they say they don't scrub, I've also never seen much difference with conversions.
I'm not sure if I have you the contact to go direct. But I reccomend you do go direct. They give you quality reports and break it down by subid so you can work with them to kick ass whilst scaling.
Adjective, Adverb, or Noun?
Booty . . . . . . . .
Sugar? Booty? Ass? Of dem hoes? Freaky freak? Of dat nasty shiat? Wives? Hoochie mamas? Of that ooooweee?
I give up....

^^^ No fair. Didn't know that was a Noun. ^^^
I worked with Speeddate direct for a few weeks. From my knowledge, and from experience, it looks like they didn't scrub.
On the opposite end of that comment, they were absolutely terrible to work with.
True is historically a scrubber.
In our experience true has been a nightmare and they do not pay bills.. . Speeddate has been a bit easier to work with although we prefer to work with small niche dating companies.
ppchound, I don't want to bad mouth them, but my experience with them was a bad one.
It took them about a week to set up our paperwork. Once they finally got us set up, we had about 4 different offers set up (different countries, ages, genders, etc.). We literally spent 2 days getting ALL of our dating publishers on their offers and then randomly they said that they wanted to pause all 4 offers and run a completely different offer (again different in gender, ages, etc.), one that we did NOT agree on in the contract. Basically they didn't keep up to their end of the contract and showed no respect for us as a partner, so I was forced to terminate our agreement.
Obviously not everybody is going to have that experience with them, but I lost respect for the people who work there from my experience.
If you are to get scrub how soon do they start scrubbing you? Will they scrub you right away? I was promoting a lead offer on fb and it was converting 3/10 the first day i ran it then after that conversions has gone way down.
they can scrub at anytime, every advertiser has different time periods of getting there back end results, if they are making money they will reward you with higher epcs so that you run more traffic, if they lose money they will either kick you off the offer, optimize you buy your subids or scrub you to hell. i think you will get the best epcs from speeddate vs true if you have good quality traffic and working with them direct you can get close to 4.00 cpa in the usa. Just dont send them a ton of pof traffic or display traffic thats total shit, mix it up the good and the decent and the bad and you can have a long run with speeddate. also going direct with them, they can open up other countries for you and they have 2 ways you can run CPA or CPL and the CPL is pretty damn good since they pay on revshare 60/40, 60 goes to you, if your traffic is good you can make a good residual income of that method, everytime somebody gets billed (every month) you get a commission.
As any dating site gets bigger and older you'll find the dupe database gets bigger.
One thing I can tell you is when we used to use the True.com api around 80% of the leads we posted were rejected.
This was FB traffic so things might have changed as time has gone on and there's not 20 white labels around.
People talk about dating offers scrubbing but I don't think a lot of them understand what it means. If someone signs up for True through your ad, and they already have an account with the same info but different email, or the same email (and they're just an idiot), True won't pay you. This goes without saying and it applies to all dating offers. Shit I think it applies to anything short of a cost-per-sale offer.
Naturally some advertisers will scrub more than others - and some networks get scrubbed harder than others. If theres a lot of fraud traffic and out-of-bounds traffic (wrong ages, wrong promotional methods, etc) from Network A but not as much from Network B, you bet your ass that the advertiser will scrub A harder than B. That's why you need to rotate your traffic through multiple sources, even if its the same offer. The offer won't convert the same on two different networks 90% of the time.
Also, fuck True.com for being so lazy about paying their bills. I was chasing that offer for the last six months across a half dozen networks, just for it to go down one week and pop up on another network a day later for a few days and then down again. If it didn't do so well for me I wouldn't care, but it's historically my strongest converting general-purpose dating offer. Although I'll admit it is kinda nutty listening to the network owners and big affs talk about how much they owe everyone in the various "people who don't pay" facebook groups. You'd think a network of sites as big as theirs, with their kind of advertising budget, wouldn't have a problem paying low 5 figure bills on time.
The traffic I was sending was from POF. BUT, I was careful to enquire, from the network, what the merchant's sweet-spot wa, so to give them the quality they required. I then specifically targeted this traffic (the beauty of POF). Despite that ....
