Hey Awesome marketers,
Actually after reading How Much Money Do I Need To Start Affiliate Marketing? I turned off!!
I’m saving every penny and reading every single article to start my new business in Affiliate Marketing, And already have my registered domain and AWS.
Caurmen has said that I should start with $3,000 to $5,000. But all I have as start is $1,500 and this is all my capital in life.
I don’t mind to lose half of them or more for the sake of collecting data and spend the rest to make money out of them, but is it possible to make it done with this tight budget?
I'm planning to take baby steps to reach my target, and I’m ready to earn $1,000 monthly or less until I earn them hourly.
can anybody give me an advice how to start with something affordable even if it's not too much profitable as a beginning?
Short answer: Don't risk all your capital on one business idea.
Risk what you can afford to lose. That means you will have more capital when it works or you have a job that earns you more. So once you start making money, you can invest a higher percentage of your savings or income.
Funny thing about affiliate marketing... Making $1000 monthly is pretty hard.. You will either make way more or lose money.
Hey, Amratef!
As mentioned by Caurmen you need to simply accept that you have to invest in your learning without seeing much financial return at the start. The crucial part is to gather as much useful data in the smartest way possible to fully understand the traffic you’re dealing with, and consequently optimize your campaigns to get them in the green.
With a tight budget, you need to use your resources in an intelligent way. So don’t go all head over heels and focus on one geo to gather useful data and experience. Opt for a stable country, with a huge amount of traffic and small payouts. This will enable you to gather lots of precious data fast without losing a lot of money. You can always ask your AM in your affiliate network for advice on such segments.
Plus: be as prepared as you can possibly be upfront so as to avoid any unnecessary beginners’ mistakes and financial losses. You can find some useful tips on how to smartly launch campaigns as a newbie in our reply to "Can someone explain their process of affiliate marketing?"
All the best for your first campaigns!
Cheers!
There's no exact amount that any one person can set - there's too many factors at play. Dedication, ability to learn from others, contacts, luck, experience, timing etc. My advise would be to jump into as many skype groups and case studies as you can find and learn from what's already out there.
What simply matters is if you can afford to lose what you will be investing. Having no money can be an advantage - there's no driving force like it. Put every spare penny you have into affiliate marketing, treat it like a hobby and don't expect quick profits. It's an incredibly thrilling/fun journey - for all the tough times you go through at the start - keep moving forward, learning and loving what you do.
Choose low competitive markets with low offers payout and language you speak. Example India
When I started I had like $5k put aside for affiliate marketing.
It took me $2-3k to make it, which I still consider myself lucky as the situation could be different these days.
Depends which train do you take, if it just arrived to its departure station or its almost in its destination.
Timing can be key.
Information you got to work with as well.
But you are in the right place to make the right decision.
BTW the good thing in affiliate marketing is that it grows with you.
Costs will be higher as you grow (send more traffic to tracker or your servers).
Do not rush, start slow and build it up from there.
