My 147th Failed FB Campaign(Help!)

Hi,
just kidding on 147th but it is like 20 something.
Offer : Beyond the Rack - Canada
Payout : $2.20 per lead
Final Destnation Page :
http://www.beyondtherack.com/auth/re...EDICATEDMEDIA3
I usually put my final destnation url on my CPVLab for approval if it is international offer.

1st Test Run
Estimated Reach
30,860 people
who live in Canada
exactly between the ages of 20 and 54 inclusive
who are female
who like jewelry

I tested 24 images and I had 0.1x% on few images but network had tracking problem
so I paused campaign for few days until they fixed problem.
When I resume this campaign, I wasn't getting much impressions so I checked the estimated reach and
this is the result
Estimated Reach
1,140 people
who live in Canada
exactly between the ages of 20 and 55 inclusive
who are female
who like jewelry

How can this happened in few days?

Anyway, I was looking hard to find some keywords with decent size of demo.

2nd Test Run
Estimated Reach
82,120 people
who live in Canada
exactly between the ages of 18 and 55 inclusive
who are female
who like forever 21

I teated 23 images and they are all like 0.05x% or lower.

I had few conversions but with these kind of ctr, I don't even come close to make profit.
I would very much appreciate any helps.

are you getting converted on leads ? try some easy offers, FB users like to waste a lot of their time

07-11-2011 08:34 PM #3 MrGoogle (Member)

This is lead offer, I thought this was easy offer.
Can you give me examples of easy offers?

FYI, all females like jewelry. No need to target keywords for this particular campaign

Also, there are similar lead gen offers that offer much higher payouts.

^^^^LOL

My first impression of the offer page is that it sucks. I don't know anything about fashion/retail but my thought is that unless someone recognizes the name "Beyond the Rack", it's not very obvious what the site is about, or why the user should care about it. Especially that dumb picture they have with the girl falling into the pool...Definitely try other offers!

Yeah, not digging that offer page lol. Even if you have a solid/relevant fashion ad copy/image that works, the viewer will just end up lost on the next page. In those few seconds of confusion, you'll probably lose the viewer.

Your images suck (not trying to offend you, but it's the truth). If you see one of these images, do you think one of the following things?

- "WOW, that looks beautiful"
- "OMG, that can't be true!"
- "WTF is that?"

If the answer is "no", go search for images which do let you think one of the above sentences. Good luck!

Yea, like scito says, the images are awful.

How much money do you spent on facebook so far?

Still looking for a profitable campaign myself.

seriously if i want to fill in the form, i can't find any reason behind. your interest and targeting looks broad, try to get it targeted and relevent, one phrase : wrong angle, try changing your strategy for a FB marketer, go narrow first... gaming and dating leads are easy...if the demo don't have any reason to click on the ad, your ads are just collecting dust, yup occasionally you get leads, but it is not converting so well into profitable level.

every cpa network have their top offers, try those first. the demo MUST able to connect the dot first.. else there is no green stack

your offer suck IMO and targeting is too broad, broad campaign can convert, but it is not for newbie IMO.

That was just my angle.
Those images look normal for us guys but for females who like forever 21, those are the hot trends fashion items from forever 21 store(but obviously not according to my ctrs)

And there is no similar offers like this.
This offer is also well branded in US but I don't know how much in Canada thou.
This is Canadian offer not US offer.

So...should I use lp for this offer since you guys think that offer page sucks or just dump this offer and move on?

I like this advice alot better than your first.
The only reason I went broad is that there is not much traffic from Canada.
Thanks.

This is like saying all geeks like electronics. However it may be true, you will need to dig deeper and create more of angles; Ie. Apple, PC, PS3, XBOX 360, Computer Water coolers, iPhones, Androids. etc..etc..

Types of jewelry; costume jewelry, rare stones, watches, high end watches, necklaces, piercings... etc..

That's problem I'm having right now with FB Canadian traffic.
I have already checked those keywords and more but they all have only 100-500 demo, hell even keyword "jewelry" only has 1100 demo like I mentioned.

try harder, never assume. having a small number it just mean small numbers of people like the word "jewelry", they might like something more specific or something else, who knows ?

07-11-2011 10:56 PM #18 talented (Member)

If your offer is the likes of ruelala, gilt etc.. you may want to try to target brand names as well. I know you didnt post all of your images but I dont see any photos of jewelry.

07-11-2011 11:10 PM #19 scotchsales (Member)

I think everybody covered most of the bases in this thread as it is (I've tested Beyond the rack myself wasn't impressed with conversions but that doesn't mean it can't work)

A lot of the guys mentioned going specific and trying items or brands. But maybe you can find the "mindset" of the target you want to attack with these ads?

Think about keywords like "sex in the city" or "twilight" or "cosmo magazine" maybe those types of keywords would give you more volume and still a good targeted demo. Imagine that you want to advertise this service on Prime Time Television, a major magazine, etc. what Mags would you pick? What shows would you run a commercial during?

This is how brands like these are born. but since your a bloodthirsty direct response guy (and spending your own hard earned money) you have the sense to advertise with CPC ads on FB. If you need volume think about it that way, hope it helps. And keep testing images get VERY aggressive. Coupons are all over FB and deals sites too. You need to make them really stand out to get noticed.

Just dont go for to WTF of an image like if your promoting a manicure offer and you use a picture of a decaying toenail you will be pulled off the offer quickly! But it gives you an idea of what to look for

I really really appreciate it for taking your time to giving me feedback video.
I already dumped that offer and testing new offer with new country and new target demo.
I am good at moving on to new offer
Thanks again.
