Hi,
Basically im all ready to go with a campaign but have a few questions before I let this fly.
1. Can you adverts Match.com on POF? I have a offer which seems pretty good, my only thoughts is maybe most POF members in UK already have a match.com account and therefore the clicks will just end up logins rather than signups.
2. I've seen lander after lander with images of men and women supposed to be from the dating site, where are these images coming from? Are they lifted straight off the dating site's profile pages or is there some image library with these types of images?
3. All I hear is roll with 10/15 ads and see what one works best then expand off the best performing. I maybe wrong but this just sounds like split-testing - 15 ads look at the data pick the best 2, create variations of the 2 winners, split-test again pick the best 2... once you got an Ad which works time to push it and roll the campaign out.
Thanks.
1. I haven't seen any Match.com offers on POF nor have I seen them offered on any of the ad networks I'm on. With bigger sites like that the concern certainly does become that too many people already have an account but I do see it run on Facebook a lot so who knows.
2. People get images from all different sources. Facebook, Tumblr, Google Image, many others. There have been numerous threads on STM about where to find images. Play around with the search feature. But yes, usually just lifted. I'd steer clear of using POF member pics in POF ads. While it may never become an issue it's just silly and playing with fire given how many other image sources there are.
3. I'm not sure I see a question there but yes that is one approach you could take. Sometimes in your batch there will be no "winners" though and you simply try another whole batch. Don't try to make variations of a shitty performing ad simply because it was the best in your batch.
Good luck!
