Is EWA still paying weekly? (60)

01-29-2012 02:24 AM #1 MrGoogle (Member)
Is EWA still paying weekly?

I've been with EWA for a while and they were my favorite at one point.
I have been sending traffic to them on and off lately but they don't pay like they used to.
They used to pay me weekly net 3 or 4 right on time every time but I am not even sure how they pay now.
The last time they paid me was Dec 20th 2011.
I did send email to my am but he told me that they pay weekly and I have to contact Savy for any questions about payment problems.
I thought he was my am, shouldn't he take care of problem like this for me?
So my question is that you guys are still getting paid weekly net4 by EWA?

01-29-2012 02:38 AM #2 jakz (Member)

Can't help ya, brother. But I can say your first mistake was thinking that your AM would move a finger to actually try to help. By and large, with exceptions, they are worthless.

01-29-2012 02:55 AM #3 Hannah (Member)

I've had more dealings with Savy than any other one person at EWA because of the number of times my AM has changed... contact her as your AM says, she has always sorted me out with payment/bank info related stuff.

Traffic made from mon-sun is paid on the thursday

02-11-2012 05:53 AM #5 curtis (Member)

I'm getting some inconsistency with them now too. They used to be really on point with their payments but now it seems totally random. I ran some traffic with them one week and made over $100 and it took a few weeks to see it. I ran some traffic with them again with the money they paid me but again, it looks like I won't be seeing any money from them any time soon. I've emailed Savy a bunch of times but no one there has been getting back to me.

I'd be totally fine if there's some threshold I'm not hitting or if there's some rule they could point me to, to say "because of _____ you'll be getting your payments on ______". But to reach out to them multiple times and to not hear anything back is starting to grate on me a bit. I'm really keen on getting things rolling but inconsistent payments are killing me right now. Oh well. For me, it's back to searching through the posts here to see what networks people are recommending and which ones are paying weeklies or have clear cut rules for what would qualify someone for weeklies. Onward and upward.

I haven't been paid in over a month. I'm a noob so only have a little over $1k in revenue, but have contacted Savy twice with no response and my AM just keeps telling that he'll look into it and get me paid. But I never hear updates from him and have asked him a few times already...

02-11-2012 06:26 AM #7 shhhant (Senior Member)

Same happened with me. Got my payment after a month.

02-11-2012 06:56 AM #8 danny27 (AMC Alumnus)

Correct me if i'm wrong I believe their policies says new affiliates get weeklies after a month.

I first started generating revenue for EWA two months ago..

02-11-2012 07:46 AM #10 shhhant (Senior Member)

And I was an affiliate for almost a year before my first issue. Savy mentioned there was an error in the transfer so its not really a big deal for me. She took care of it.

02-11-2012 07:56 AM #11 blackberry (Member)

yikes... hope EWA can take care of you guys!
sounds like a sticky situation..

Ryan should come in here and respond

02-11-2012 08:50 AM #13 MrGoogle (Member)

When I first started with EWA over a year ago, I loved everything about them.
But when I clicked on offers to see the lp pages, many of them went through other networks aff links.
So my first impression was that they were brokering offers from other big networks more than having direct offers.
But I really didn't care as long as they pay me on time and pay me more than other networks.
If I remember right, they started paying me late few months after Azoogle stop paying their affiliates.
I was with Azoogle and I saw some of my EWA offers were going thru Azoogle links.
So I thought that EWA were not getting paid by Azoogle and that's why they pay me late.
They paid me weekly net 12 to 14 instead of weekly net 4.
That's when I started to use other networks and tried to stay away from them.
BTW, I got paid few days after I made this post but I stopped using them altogether.
I don't know what it is but I don't feel too comfortable using them anymore knowing that I don't know when I get paid.

@Mrgoogle : Before promote any offer, check the redirects first, here is a website : www.wheregoes.com, remember we're the last one in the money chain...so always play safe. if you verify some offers which brokered to other networks, you will be surprise how many 302 redirect it went through before landing on a landing page, these 302 redirects for sure increase the load time, which is bad for us. find the least redirect or direct offers, be smart.

anyone have other sites which can check http redirect other than above url and live http headers?

@bbrock32 @ can we have a redirect checker tool available for STM members only ?

Where are you from? Its $1k threshold for International affiliates

http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/

I use this ALL the time

EWA is, by far, the network I have had the most problems with when it comes to payments. Payment not being sent when it should being the most common, but not the only one. In fact I made a decision to avoid working with them as much as possible in the future due to this. But I also have to say that, sooner or later, I've always been paid, and Savy, Ryan and my AM's have always been responsive.

Just a couple of days I started running some traffic again (an offer hard to find elsewhere), let's see how it goes this time.

I use Fiddler2 to look at all HTTP info, or you can use the Developer Tools "Network" menu in Chrome to look at the paths...

02-11-2012 02:25 PM #20 twoj (Senior Member)

Didn't ever have problems last year, then since the new year started I only had 1 payment on time. I couldn't get a hold of Savy for days each time, it was very frustrating.

One +rep for EWA though is any problem I've ever had was fixed, unlike a few other networks.

My AM mentioned they hired more people in accounting to help, which they need. I would much rather have an unresponsive AM than an unresponsive accounting department

Anywho, I stopped traffic with them for a while and will try again whenever my AM says the extra accounting people are trained, etc.

I'm in the U.S. and it looks like the threshold for weekly ACH payments is $50. International affs have to be paid via wires so they have a $1k limit. I know this now because I got a response from Ryan late last night and he pointed me to ewa's payment info page. I still haven't been paid but with this being Saturday I don't think I'll see anything until Monday at the earliest so we'll see. I'm glad that I finally got a response though.

02-11-2012 03:28 PM #22 scotchsales (Member)

@curtis

I'm in the same boat as a few others here having issues for the past two months (everything has been gravy otherwise) Savy has been good about getting back to me within a day or two, but I am still owed some cash (only a small $XXX amount)

I'll save you the trouble and let you know that you most likely won't see the ACH hit your bank til tues/wed. at the earliest that's when all of mine have come in.

02-11-2012 03:39 PM #23 curtis (Member)

Thanks for the feedback. I'll lower my expectations a bit.

02-11-2012 06:06 PM #24 turtle_hammer (Member)

I was also paid late recently. I've been getting weeklies consistently for about 6 months, but for some reason they stopped in Jan. After speaking with Savy, I was told it was a bank input error and the money was in my account 2 days later. They were helpful in resolving the issue, but being a newb and knowing that my entire cash flow could be locked up for a few extra weeks makes me nervous.

02-11-2012 06:50 PM #25 leeches (Member)

Same here..... Last payment was Dec 20th. Have reached out to them several times and they keep saying its on the way or double check your account. Almost 2 months now and still waiting.

hmmm, I'm now 10 days delayed in getting paid.

02-12-2012 12:56 AM #29 sm1810 (Member)

same here...

last three Thursdays waiting for ACH not a lot like $2K or so... Last I heard from my AM they were understaffed and training some more people in accounting.. we'll see if the money comes this Tuesday

02-12-2012 01:05 AM #30 lng (Member)

I thought I was the only one. Savy has had issues getting back to me and my am asking me if I ever got paid before when ive been with them over a year and he's been my am for months. Wtf?!?? Where's the Birdman!?!?!

02-12-2012 01:08 AM #31 wright (Member)

I doubt these issues are of being understaffed but rather of lacking $$$

I wish I could find it but there was an old WF thread about some network requiring 1k/week rev to pay weeklies where Ryan Eagle posted "Why are you running with networks that are underfunded and don't have their affiliates' best interests at heart? With EWA you get weeklies off a $50 min. threshold."

Oh the irony.

02-12-2012 01:20 AM #32 lng (Member)

They told me they were getting more accounting staff.

02-12-2012 01:29 AM #33 Kapies (Member)

Yeah I am sure its a priority queue , I am still waiting on a 250$ cheque since January , she seems to get back to your email in a week or so duration. I think she needs another hand!

$9k+ here. Traffic stopped, waiting for the money. Btw, i really like EWA, the AM's and Ryan are helpful, but you know.. money is money.

When networks start having payment issues the alarm bells start going off for me.

Ryan is usually fast at responding to things like these. Hope all is ok.

Still have 800 something open.

02-12-2012 01:11 PM #39 lemonhead (Member)

I'm owed just over $3k, accounting told me the wire was sent and bounced due to human input error.

You can only look at it one of two way's, either the accounting department is in a mess with staff issues etc, or the cash is running out, I like EWA and hope it's the first.

02-12-2012 03:19 PM #40 lng (Member)

I've had to email accounting at least 2-3time a month for 4-5 months now. Hope they get it alll worked out.

02-12-2012 03:31 PM #41 Ryan Eagle ()

There have been some changes which account for a large amount of the confusion:
- New affiliates are paid 30 days from the day they start running traffic (for compliance purposes).
- International affiliates must reach $1,000 to get paid weekly, if they don't hit this threshold they revert to monthly payments

I was just notified of this via my Facebook account and I'm glad I actually checked that. Right now we are currently transitioning more people into accounting and a thread like this is extremely embarrassing on my part. I would like everyone on here to know that they can contact me immediately if they ever have any problems with anything and I will personally solve the problem for you. I personally have the ability to expedite any accounting problems (which now take 48 hours~ to respond to).

My contact: ryan@eaglewebassets.com

We had to scale out our accounting team to focus on collecting and since we've remodeled our division, we've slacked on our accounting responses. I will make sure that any and all pending questions will get answered within the first couple days of this week. We should have someone fully trained and integrated within the next two weeks.

My own name is attached to this company and I take everything seriously. If you are ever unhappy, I am around and I'm not some unobtainable person on top (you still can't see me). Contact me directly, elevate it to me, and I will make sure something is worked out for you. If international wires are hitting late, for example, we can work out special payment models to make sure payments are flowing quickly for you to scale.

Hope this helps guys!

They did get a lot of new rebill offers in late 2011, Internet Payday and stuff like that. I hope it's not a cashflow issue from them.

02-12-2012 06:28 PM #43 Mr Green (Administrator)

Cashflow issues are for peasants. EWA propaganda says they hate on peasants.

Funny I was told I've been paid about 3 times already. Nada. Human error? C'mon, that's the response you give when you haven't sent shit to buy yourself some time. Every affiliate company that screws up on payments says that. I've been active in adult IM for over 10 years... I've heard this excuse numerous times over the years. So far EWA is the first for me on this side of IM.

It's one thing to say we're running behind but another thing to say it's been sent... that's straight up bullshit. You don't fuck with people's money like that.

As I've said - please contact me / respond if you are having a payment problem or any problem. I have private messaged every single person on this thread personally and resolved (as far as I know) any and every issue that happened on here. I'm committed to improving the situation and this thread is a rude reminder to me that I needed to scale the size of my team and the infrastructure along with the growth of my network. I cannot help people that do not let me know who they are - please contact me.

One again, my email is: ryan@eaglewebassets.com or simply send me a private message here.
