New To Native! (Help Please)

Hey guys

I'm Jonny, new to the forum and looking to get into Native ads...

A quick background on myself, i'm not new to affiliate marketing, in fact ive been involved in email marketing for over 10 years now, 5 years full-time,
promoting many offers in different verticals, however it's all been via email.

So, i have a decent background in affiliate marketing in general, but native is a whole new ballgame for me. I've never got
involved as i've always thought of native as super expensive, and you need $1,000's to test what works or even breakeven.

Anyway, i've been digging alot around the forum the last few days, i have a pretty good understanding of how native works
now, or probably the absolute basics. It seems like there is a lot involved, so my idea is, get everything setup, trackers, networks
etc etc then go in head first and just get a campaign setup, collect data, learn and improve.

So my questions are:

1. I have literally no idea which vertical to start with, or which type of offer as in Lead Gen, Ecom products etc, i really don't know.
So where would you suggest a newbie to native start, which kinds of offers?

2. There is so much info on this forum, it's amazing, but are there any threads that are a MUST READ for a newbie native guy, stuff
that I should really know about, or is it a case of just going through lots of threads within the native section?

Appreciate your help in advance

Cheers
Jonny

@jonnybalfour - that's a heck of a name - sounds like the quarterback prom king in some 90's teen movie

But yeah, welcome to the forum man!

Natives are fantastic! I used STM to learn about them myself when I first started 1.5 years ago. Lots of great threads. Definitely read everything from @thedudeabides, and then also look up each network by name and read all the threads that contain references to it.

And then I would heartily recommend the James Van Elswyck course(s) as well
