Facebook Beginner Tutorial: Index (18)

Facebook Beginner Tutorial: Index

I've put some thought into how to structure this tutorial, in a way that there isn't a ton of overlap between the modules.

In the end I decided to organize it this way:

[General Module]: To cover common components such as offer/product research, how to create ads, testing and optimization, etc. Stuff we need to know no matter what we choose to run.

[Step-by-Step Module]: Self-explanatory - would be like the first part of the 40-day tutorial where we blindly follow the steps to take action first, read the explanations later.

I'm planning to take us through how to set up a lead gen campaign in this module.

(If you have never set up an FB campaign, please wait a few weeks until I start posting this module, so you can start WITH this module.)

[Biz-Model Modules]: Individual modules for each business model. For example a module on Ecom CPA offers, one for Ecom Dropshipping/Fulfillment, one on Lead Generation. Each module will cover stuff specific to that business model, that isn't covered in the general module.

**************************************************

Next: Let's put some expectations in place.

1)The 40-day pop tutorial was very straight-forward. In comparison, this FB tutorial will be far more complex. There are just a lot more moving parts in general, plus FB has such stringent requirements and a far more advanced algorithm (that is both ingenius and not-so-smart at the same time - more on that later).

2)Unlike pop traffic, FB traffic is more expensive. FB also requires considerably more testing than pop (e.g. audience targeting, creative angles, etc.) If you don't have at least 2k to allocate towards testing, be aware that you may run out of funds before being able to give this traffic platform a chance to work out for you.

3)Because we are a whitehat forum and have a good relationship with FB reps, I cannot discuss topics such as the farming/renting/buying/selling of accounts in great detail. I apologize about this in advance, because I know this is information everybody wants to know. However, you can just as easily get this information from blackhat forums, so don't let this part hold you back!

4)I'm not claiming to be an expert in FB traffic, although I'm confident I know enough to write a tutorial for beginners.

As such, do not take anything I say as gospel, and do perform your own testing, observe results, and adjust accordingly.

This is good advice anyways, as FB's algo and the way they do things in general changes literally from one day to the next. In order to stay relevant, we need to further our learning continuously - through testing and reading (blogs, FB courses, FB groups where people discuss how to run FB ads, etc.)

Furthermore, I would encourage EVERYONE - FB experts and newbies alike - to share your recent experiences. This is the only way to get a bigger picture of how Facebook behaves (both their reviewers and algorithm). Last thing I want is let my limited perspective hold everyone back.

@4964420454t @dodolasaumure I've been trying to release a couple of posts every week. Hoping to finish the general module (or at least most of it) by the end of May. After that, will post the step-by-step module and biz-model-specific modules.

Thanks so much for all the encouragement and support!

This is looking really cool Vortex, very excited to trial this after learning Pops & Push.

The idea of FB ad > Lead Magnet > Email Sequences with Aff offers seems like a great way to combat rising click-costs and introduce some stability to camps.

Really Great Post @vortex. You are really adding a lot of value on this platform, could not have find such a detailed resourceful knowledge on FB Ads anywhere else on the internet.

@adaptiveakki Sorry just saw this! I wasn't satisfied with that post after I posted it, so I retracted and rewrote it and reposted. Apologies!

And thanks so much for your encouraging words!

@roiter123 Thank you for all your support! I'm looking to finish posting the general module in the next few weeks, and start working on the step-by-step module and/or a biz-model module.

Dear affiliate lord, where's the button to thank all of your articles at once? The amount of work, time, knowledge and wisdom you guys put in these articles is TREMENDOUS.
I've been an STM member for a couple of days, and from day one the great quote from Newton has been coming to mind over and over again: "If I have seen further it is only by standing on the shoulders of Giants".
Thank you so much, Amy, and all the STM’s Greats for literally changing people's lives.

Be blessed and may the ROAS be with you! Always.

That's some invigorating support - thank you so much!

I actually haven't been running FB for too long - certainly not as long as I was running pop - but I figured I should know enough to write a guide for other FB newbies. And comments like yours are driving me to churn out more content in this area.

I'm planning on finishing the general module and adding other modules soon - please stay tuned and thanks again!

BTW - welcome to the STM familia!
