What ideal budget to get started with Native???
Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to check in and see what experienced affiliates think is a good budget to get started with Native. I have put aside £10k, would this be enough to test and get profitable potentially? I am also going to sign up to the Native ads MasterClass as I have heard great things about the course.
Let me know what you guys think?

10k pounds is a solid budget for native and should be more than enough to give you a solid chance at succeeding. All the istack training courses are solid, including the native masterclass, so it will definitely help you.
BUT, have you tried anything in affiliate marketing by now? In case you're a fresh newbie, I would recommend to test the waters with something less $ intensive... just to get a feel of what it is like and to make your first mistakes in a less punishing environment. No matter how good you prepare yourself, you will make some mistakes and that can be costly in native. I'm not saying you have to become profitable with some other traffic type before moving into native either. But to learn the basics, the are cheaper options than native

Hey Matuloo, Thank you very much for the heads up, what traffic source would you recommend as a first foot in affiliate marketing? Just to give you an idea of my experience, this would be my first proper attempt, I have read the forums but I do not have hands on experience yet.
looking forward to hearing from you

I would suggest to mess with push traffic for a bit. Volumes are nice, prices are low in the less competitive GEOs and you can learn all the basics with it

We have a very active section dedicated just to this traffic type here:

If you do decide to start with Native go with Taboola or Outbrain. A good rule of thumb would be to have 30-50x CPA for a campaign type to get profitable, pause a campaign if it loses more than 5x CPA and doesn't have any promising placements.

great thank you for the advice, going to play around with Push traffic to learn the basics and then switch to Native as I see a lot of opportunity there. Hopefully I can get into the green with Push, will post a follow along once I get up and running. Does anyone recommend a case study or thread that will really help me on my way with Push traffic?

We have a few that you could take a look at.
I wrote one myself:

Erik wrote another good one:

And MrBraun has one too:

And also check this thread, it lists the best practice things for push:
