Picking offers that convert with DirectCPV traffic

Most of the PPV examples I've been reading here are using Lead Impact as the traffic source. I have about $150 in my DirectCPV account and the car insurance traffic I've been running through it is converting at 0%.

Can someone share some tips are what converts in DirectCPV traffic?

Gracias

Dating was the only thing that i could get to work at DCPV not a great ROI . Their traffic is pretty awful - granted i havent run anything with them in atleast 1 yr .

I personally never had any luck with DirectCPV but that was when they first launched. I've heard the traffic is a lot better now but I can't speak from experience. I blew through several hundred dollars testing anything and everything I could think of and got nothing to stick. But like I said, that was a while back.

That method is based on their old system of serving pops as full-page interstitial ads. Their traffic now is apparently a mix of full-page and normal pops, and you can't specify which kind you want, so it's basically useless as hell since you don't know how the end user is going to see your page.

Well, since I still have some balances in this network, I would give it a try and see what happens. Will report it back here once I've tested them. Anyway, from what I see, PPV companies can make big bucks easily (just look at TV, they are now like big G in PPV network), so I have no idea why would this dcpv try to scam people's money away, if this is really the case.

Thanks for the update, and saving me some time and money! Was going to signup today and give that a shot.. nevermind now

Though I suppose you could do some kind of javascript to detect the frame size and show either the iframed page or a normal PPV offer based on what you get.. sounds like a lot of work though.

Also a lot of high traffic sites have frame-breaking scripts in them now which would kill this functionality as well (i.e. FB)

{
$url = "http://defaulturl.com";

<iframe src="<?= $url ?>" style="width:100%; height:100%; border:0;"></iframe>

So now just insert your favorite content locking script in the body and lock the url the visitor is on! Also change the default url to something else. I put that there as a backup just in case it failed to pull in the visitors url.

You've been able to profit doing this?

07-20-2011 02:34 PM #13 bbrock32 (Administrator)

It will be hard to profit of that since they don't show intersitial ads anymore ( or at least not all the time )

I could never get it to work well. Could possibly work with a lander on the pop then frame the second page.

The only campaign I got profitable on DCPV was a zombie tool bar last October. Their traffic is frustrating.

I would love to see someone that got something working well on it.

I've just pulled three offers off there as they have BOMBED HARD (only 2 conversions in 3 days) Checking out the referers revealed several that were not on my submitted URL list and guess which ones burned through my budget? Thanks for that DCPV you bastards.

I have a profitable campaign going now BUT the traffic is TERRIBLE. I am only getting around 150 impressions a day using the same set of URLs and keywords on LI gets thousands of impressions!
