need more alot more help in mobile!

it's been slightly more than a month since i've embarked on this venture, and i reach to a point of time where i feel kinda stuck.

so far, i've worked on a couple of offers and to date i have gotten about 3000+ clicks with 1 conversion. i'm looking forward and trying to progress but i feel like im wandering around like a headless chicken. hopefully someone can give the headless chicken some directions.

i've been working only on app and game offers so far and the results have been abysmal with 3000clicks and 1 conversion. im pretty sure my current system has alot of leaks, and i hope i can get some help on how i can better my gameplan.

what i have been doing so far is
step A=> get top offers from AM and pick one that we think is good for me
step B=> come up with angles, and use the best 3 angles to create 12 banners to test
step C=> test banners on 1 traffic source. break down into a few campaigns based on carriers
Step D=> gather approximately 5,000 impressions for each banner and then decide on which banners are worth retaining based on CTR and conversions
Step E=> make another 12 banners and continue to test them at the same traffic source breaking them down into a few campaigns each targeting an individual carrier
Step F=> move to the next offer if no potential is seen.

i'm at this stage where i have been hitting step F for all the offers i've worked on.
it seems like i'm making a mistake here. how isit that i cannot convert any top offers that people are all converting?
1) so most logically the mistake i made was to jump ship too quickly?
2) so when should i abandon the offer?

usually in a set of 12 banners, i would get about 0-2 banners that hit 1% CTR. but i dont get conversions
3) how should i progress if i get 1 banner above 1% CTR without conversion? what i'm doing now is to make 4-5 variations of that banner, throw in another 5 brand new banners to test them again.
4) here are some of my banners, are they that bad? (cant include animation) Click image for larger version.

Size:	85.3 KB
ID:	2403
5) theres always talk about spending $ gathering data. im not sure how can i make the data useful. i do understand how the data can be useful in improving the ROI of the current offer. but what more besides that? it is unlikely to be too useful if i end up working on a different offer? or should i focus on working on offers of the similar nature targeting the same country so my data can be of more value?
6) please help pick apart my current game plan. am i setting up my campaigns wrongly? should i test more traffic source? etc
i'm definitely certain that i'm making a big mistake somewhere as i feel like im consistently seeing the same results over and over again.

i would really appreciate any help that i can get. i have to appologise for wall of text and questions. i really am putting alot of effort into this, i've set up shop at my apartment, flew my brother over here to work on this on a fulltime basis. hell i would fly to anywhere in the world just to get involved in some kind of profit/coaching deals because i really want this to happen so bad! but that is unlikely to happen so i'll just have to seek help from the forums. thanks once again guys, definitely appreciate all the support here.

I'm new in mobile too and so I can't offer you much practical advice, but I can say I know how confusing and frustrating it feels sometimes, esp when we're new and don't know how it all works or what we're doing wrong.

Hoping others can help you but in the meantime keep your chin up and keep soldiering on! You can do it!

Ok, to hit a winning campaign you need a combination of these :

- Good Offer
- Good Angle ( Banner / Lander ) Combo
- Good Traffic Source

While it's hard you hit the 3 of them right away you can work to minimize the unknown variables.

The first thing you should optimize is offer picking. You said you asked your AM for top offers.
That can work out well or not, depending how honest your AM is.
The way I would go about it is ask AMs of the top 5 mobile networks to send you a list of offers by VOLUME across the network.
Note, VOLUME not EPC. You want to know what offers are doing volume, which means quite some people are making them work.
To push it a step further, I would combine data from 5 different networks and see what offers appear on most of them.
This is an additional sign the offer is solid.
Personal tip from me, if you are starting out, stick with low payout offers so you can gather data fast and without having to spend a fortune.

Traffic source- this one is easy, go with Decisive. They have quite some traffic, good interface and good support. Tons of people are making it work so you can rule out the traffic source being bad.

As for the landers and banners I can't give a ton of advice since they vary based on the offer.
Just test a ton of stuff, use animated banners instead of static and make sure your landers load fast and render well on most devices.

That's it for now, keep us updated how it goes!

I'll elaborate on your banners. Your goal is 2 things. 1. High CTR, 2. An angle to sell the offer (search angles to understand them better). You're banners are good, but theyre not MIND BLOWING. Get more creative. Read up on the diamond shreddies campaign to understand what i mean.

Right now you're just telling people about the offer/game/etc... but you want to SHOCK THEM, SHOW THEM SOMETHING AMAZING about it.

Capture their attention. See where i'm going with this.

EX:
- Racing cars is 1 thing, but racing exotic golden hovercrafts might be a better way to lure in players, or how about "Race Scarlett Johansson"

@ninja hedgehog: thank you for the encouragement, hope you do well too!

@bbrock32: thank you so much for taking out the time to share straight away implementable action plans. really appreciate it alot! i'll still be around until i make it!

@stackman: i googled diamond shreddies and read like 4-5 sources including that video on it. that was pretty much a stroke of genius, unlike affiliate marketers like us, they had alot more on the line and a bad move could cost the company alot financially. great share there!
i agree that we really wanna appeal as much as we can with our creatives and you definitely encourage me to think out of the box more.
thanks for taking the time to give me more directions. really appreciate it! going to regroup and work harder and post more questions!

Us affiliate marketers have SO many opportunity's because we can do anything that comes to mind. "Big advertising" usually shuts down most ideas due to rules/restrictions/conflicts, etc.. not us though. We have it easy!
