Calling out the user's name on the lander

Is there a way to pull the user's name and put it on your lander when a visitor from facebook comes to your lander?

No, would be a privacy issue also.

But you can have access to some of their friends names (facepile post on this forum).

there is a way.....

BUT

you will loose your ad account faster than you can say "wtf"

using fb info like that is now very very taboo....and if you try to cloak and do it....best you have a legal team at your disposal.....they are legally going after advertisers who do this.....

So... technically... if facebook finds a lander using the 'Facepile hack' then it's legal time? ... or is that just when you call out the specific user?

well that is different as it is approved for that purpose......you can put a facepile anywhere.....

BUT

using the graph API data in a advertisement directly is very much against the TOS....and clearly stated as such....and using there "name" all be it might seem ok there has been a huge backlash on FB when it was allowed in the past....and as such FB doesn't allow anything of the sort anymore.....and they consider it a direct threat to their user base......any and all 3rd party adnetworks that advertise via the platform(ie inside apps and such) are required to sign special docs to this effect.....

Thanks for the heads up! Much appreciated I figured out how to get the user's name to show up on custom tabs of fanpages...so I was curious if its possible for an external page using graph API.

So, is calling out the user's name on fanpage tabs frowned upon too? I know we can't since fb switched to iframes and all, but for the pages that still have Static FBML..is it risky to call out the name?
