Offer
Skill2Thrill Canada (CA)
The longest running top performing IQ quiz for Canada. I've ran this on/off for 1.5 years
Traffic Source
Facebook
The Key to profit with this now
Advertising to males 30+
(30 year old men don't fill out this shit… Is that what your saying? Well your terribly wrong, they are my #1 converting demographic for this offer. Also this isn't a 1 time thing. I used to do major IQ leads about 3.5 years ago, and they converted amazing then too.
Here's all the info you need to take this campaign and make it profitable.
Demographics
I advertised this to almost every age and demo using diff images. Demo's in order of most profitable.
1. Males 30 - 45
2. Males 16 - 23
3. Females 17 - 25
Images
IQ is one of my largest niches of all time. I've tested many many angles, one of the better ones for me in late 2010 was using images of girls with exceptionally large tongues lol :|

Another angle which brought me more volume was a mix of optical illusions + 'is this real' type of angles.

Using titles like
- Is this real?
- How many eyes?
- 2 or 4 eyes?
- How many fingers
etc..
Tips
- This campaign is about getting as many people as you can to the offer page for as cheap as possible. The cheap clicks will rule. So don't worry much about landing pages. For 80% of the $ i made with this campaign i didn't use a landing page.
- If you are going to use a landing page around an angle or something then use these 2 icons. I used them on 1 of mine which had a positive impact on conversions.
- Canadian flag + Facebook icon

- Run in CPM
I've found with a lot of campaigns when i run CPM i will get traffic that has lower conversion rates then if i was bidding in CPC… but the benefits of bidding in CPM is if you have a decent CTR you'll get cheaper clicks then CPC bidding. With that said run this campaign at first in CPC, once you break even or get close to breaking even with your top ads, then remake those ads into CPM and you should instantly see a ROI boost of 20%+.

Stacks... whats the deal how you getting IQ through nowa days.
I honestly have very little problems getting it approved internationally.
- i don't mention the words IQ, intelligence, or test in the copy and if i do i add 'subscription required'
Have you tested anything on FB since Melbourne?
can't download the files... :-(
<edit>
*lol it works with IE
works fine here, no problems with download? What message you get?
Thanks for this, as I am new to this, a quick question. Is there any merit is creating a FB app pointing to the offer page or rather user say Pretty link to mask the t202 URL? Thanks
weird, I set up 5 ads, 1 was approved and is chugging away at 0.112 CTR and 3 dead similar ads were disapproved, wtf?
The only one that was approved had no ? in the title, I wonder if that makes a diff?
Thanks for the sweet info. Can you give examples of the ad copy you used when you didn't mention IQ or subscription required?
FB lapproved 1 out of 5 the long tongue one, CTR staedy at 0.117% but no conversions yet
Guys I really hope you don't all use the same angle as Stack used ;-) Get creative and try own ideas as well...
Do we risk our accounts if we promote mobile stuff like that ?
What ad title did you use for the girl images? Cant seem to figure out how to relate it to IQ tests... "Is Her Tongue Real?" etc. im assuming lol
Maybe something like: Longer tongue, smarter?
did you use any keywords?
I have been trying to get my IQ quiz ads through in Canada for about a week and I get disapproved everytime. Any tips on the best way of getting IQ quiz ads approved?
Is this the offer in question? http://ca.skill2thrill.com/CA/901297227
Yep sure is
Jordan,
Did you use any keywords with these campaigns or none to get high volume traffic?
If you made an LP for the ilusion pics, or the tongue pics: how did it look like? what did it say? what did you test to get hich CTR ...etc
@tnakov
I'm not 100% sure on the rules of international mobile, but i don't have issues usually other than retroactive disapprovals which can sometimes be due to my ads themselves and not the offers. With that said Canada will probably be disapproved faster then lets say Indonesia for any offer a Facebook reviewer doesn't like.
@crysper
@socaep - You sure it wasn't because of your other campaigns or other reasons?
I'm pretty sure they didn't disable your account just for that.
@dantheman
Other than that I had a previously disapproved campaign promoting clickbank stuff about a month ago. Could be because of that.
hey stack, im kind of new to the mobile submit vertical but i have been running a us offer with a good bit of volume lately. How stable are these type of offers when it comes to scrub and up and down epcs? also from your testing in canada are there certain times of the day that you noticed bad conversions, i mean in 2 days of testing for me it seems that at night like after 11am until 10am conversions are pretty bad. My main issue is how stable is this vertical and is it something sustainable. BTW im not running on fb, im doing alot of site placements via media buys
Getting a decent CTR on this campaign using just the default guidelines stack put up, but Skill2Thrill is not converting too well thus far on the demo....8 cent epc. Anyone seeing higher EPCs?
Any LP examples?
Are you running this cloaked now?
Getting awesome CTRs, but not a single offer to convert. Skill2thrill and My Mind Quiz CA both failed and landed around an 8 cent epc. Anyone know of any other offers I should try?
Nice... I didn't know you can get international IQ approved on Facebook :O. IQ is amazing with media buys. I'm going to dominate it on FB now. lol
Does anyone have tips on getting this approved on Facebook internationally? I'm targeting an Asian country, testing the waters there. Unfortunately, my first batch was disapproved. Should I just keep trying while uploading random easy to approve ads to keep my approval ratio up? Or should I just do a bait and switch?
I was running IQ in Netherlands and Norway and Spain with CPM 0.03-0.05 with no results. I tried many IQ offers, but nothing converted. I kill the campaigns. I used MaxMind GeoIP for offer hiding from FB team.
That sucks, godspeed.
So I tried submitting again with sporcle.com as my URL...disapproved instantly. Maybe try again later today or at a different time tomorrow?
From what i know Skill2Thrill CA is still a top CA offer, but shit is ever changing so i never know forsure.
@machete Keep trying, theres prob 500 diff faebook ad reviewers (if not more) and some will approve your ads unless they are directly against the rules.
@godspeed I ran IQ in the netherlands 2 years ago, and it had some of my highest conversion rates ever. I have no idea what offer it was though, prob doesnt exist still. Spain, Italy, Germany and a couple other countries are pretty saturated right now.
Does anyone have suggestions for the time of day to try submitting ads? I just got RAPED in disapprovals for a Jersey Shore mobile offer in CA. Got the usual "destination URL" and "MyWOT" reasoning. Should I wait a bit before resubmitting?
Edit: I think it's just because the redirect URL is for some lotto offer. So I'll put in a non-affiliate link of the Jersey Shore LP in CPVLab then just swap it out for original offer.
@movid
Yeah you're right, but it just doesn't make sense to me because it costs money and the users know that. But your guide definitely shows it can be done so thanks for that! I tested a few mobile offers and I haven't had any conversions yet (over 500 clicks) but I will try to come up with a different angle.
I lauched a NL IQ test offer several days ago , and got 250+ clicks, 0 convertion ....
Do they allow IQ ads on FB or do you need to cloak?
