Guys,
I created an offer in 2010 which I have had a couple mailers test with mediocre results.
I received suggestions on how to improve it but at the time my dev team was too expensive. These days I can do things fast and way cheaper, so I'm interested in giving it another shot.
I really wanted to make something that will actually help someone out there somehow and doesn't claim to make them a million bucks in a week. Some would call me a pussy. I would still like to see if I can get it going strong.
Here's the offer lander (one and only i've tested). Please check it out and post here tearin' it up. I want to get it converting. I will not use editorial landers... hoping to direct link... any alternatives?
https://jobmagnetsystem.com/secure/
I got a few sales on facebook but my CTR sucked so it was too expensive. Never got any chargebacks so that felt nice... got a few taking my upsell too.
Please follow along as I work on the offer. Learn from my mistakes and from what industry experts tell me to help me get it converting and running more traffic to it.
I'm not gonna lie man...once "CrossFit" was mentioned in the video, I kept watching for some reason hahaha. CrossFit's basically my life.
Whats your best fran time? lol mine is 4:46, working hard to surpass it... hard. haha
Crossfit talk!!!!
Gotta love it.
My Fran time is not that great because I am not good at the pull ups but I still managed a 7+ min Fran. My DT time last week kicked but though at 14+ min.
I am built to lift not do pull ups!
shall I move this to the cross fit section?.....lol :P
I personally think that would be the perfect video for someone who wants to shift from there current 9-5, and get on board with what you are offering. Might be the convincing voice in the video...
Thanks sking, that's great to hear since it's my voice... I was passionate about everything I said in the video.
I'm at a loss for ideas on where to buy traffic for this offer. Any suggestions? I don't want to let all the work I put into it go to waste.
Nice lander, I like that little iPad notice that drops down after 10-15 seconds, totally surprised me =P
I went over the video a couple times and I'm still not sure what's going to happen when I put my Name, Address, Email, and Phone number in. Even just out of curiosity I'd like to fill it out and see, but I'm actually scared to because I have no idea what you're doing with it. Even scouring the page I have no idea. Am I going to be logged into a members area? Am I going to get an email from you? Am I going to watch some videos?
You had a product box with a dvd, are you mailing me something? I'm not sure.. is it free or???
I guess where I'm going with this is similar to what I was saying in the other thread, and this is to get their email address NOW and you'll have alot more opportunity to convince them to convert on your money offer. Otherwise you'll just have a huge bounce rate and the traffic is gone forever.
If they made it to your page, chances are they are actually interested in what you're offering, don't let that go to waste.
@Parthenon: Yeah, I heard that the iPad thing is actually against FTC rules now though. I'm not sure, just a rumor.. I might have to remove it.
You're right. I got the inspiring part right in the video so when I watch it, I feel like I'm supposed to take action... But I don't really get what the action is or what I'm supposed to receive when I fill out the form.
Here are some things I will design in to the redesign of the lander:
I'm redesigning the landing page as per suggestions from Ryan at C2M. Waiting for feedback from some others as well.
1. Any other ways to create urgency in a compliant way? "Only 3 spots left" is asking for FTC at my door as far as I know.
2. Big ass red arrow? Check!
3. Fixed call to action button
4. Added white couples.. just realized Ryan said females.
What about data collection? I'm trying to make them pay for the report as per MediaStar's advice. Also a friend of mine who does $20k+/day with his online jobs offer said don't give anything for free because they won't buy anything after that. So I'm wondering Am I asking for too much data up front? Is there another way to present my report to justify them entering address, phone etc that limelight requires for billing?
Check out the current, updated screen and let me know what I should change. Thanks!
(you have to click on the image a couple times to make it full size)
I think Anik Singal's promotional tactics are very good. Here's his last one:
commissiondomination.com/go/
@godspeed: Anik's presentation there is pretty amazing.
Love the new design. A lot clearer and much better structure overall. Great work!
@diegoal: Thanks for the support. I made an edit to remove that "tag button" thing that said "sign up now" because it looked like it goes backwards to another site or something and wasn't related to the signup process.
In its place i put handwriting text that says "easy to use job system" with some guru-lander style red arrows pointing to the bullet point list.
How do you guys suggest I run traffic to this lander? I can't do it via Google, right? What about Bing? Would they allow direct linking to my lander like this? or does the quality score definitely suck?
How's this updated for a litttle urgency? I also removed that weird "tag" thing that was pointing left and replaced with "easy to follow job system" with some arrows

commissiondomination.com/go/ -- LOL
Please don't do any crap like that. Its got bells and whistles but if you've ever bought anything from that guy you'll know to run the other way - very fast.
Its good to look at offers and LP's that others are doing but if you want to do something "legit" and that really helps people then you might want to test a different tact completely. That lander you are using has been around for a couple of years now on various different biz opp offers. It works/worked?
You will have a tough time running that on PPC. If you can make it compliant you can do very well with Biz opps on AdSonar - and there's volume. Get a good rep there and talk to them. They will point out what you need to change to make it compliant.
Have you tried split testing this with a much less busy optin form yet? The one you have now against one that only asks for an Email and then another that asks for Name and Email?
@deondup: yeah don't worry. It was an impressively done video and I bought it to see if he was full of shit, and as expected, it was... Seriously, it would be easier in my mind to actually build something of value, like my upcoming SEO SAAS or LimelightCRM... I'm really uninterested in doing MMO offers. The job/resume one I made though, I put a ton of effort into the product and it's almost done, and I am confident the info is helpful to people who are used to paper resumes or word docs with school lists.
@JohnC - I haven't run any traffic to it since my initial small test on facebook. I had no split testing set up. I want to split test your suggestion though.
Bottom line is i can tweak shit all I want but it doesn't matter right now because i have NO traffic.
Anyone know an adsonar rep? I haven't used them in years.
Just an idea to be "different"
Don't do a lander with an optin form.
Create a PDF with KILLER content. If you can give them a method that actually makes them money. Make them wanna come back for more. You can always give them 90% of the content and have them go to an optin form to get the rest.
Take a lead from Frank Kern.
Thanks for the suggestion - that is more congruent with me for sure.
By the way, when you say run on Adsonar, do you mean Adsonar or Addesk
Thank you for the confirmation. I found a lot of relevant inventory, though expensive. Thankfully after reading the Adsonar Advertiser Guidelines, I see that my page is almost 100% compliant already. I'll check out linkedin too.
i'm gonna be straight up with you...
you have a killer design and look on the LP, but the offer just isn't appealing at all.
telling people simply the method of how to get a good job isn't enough.
what you have to do is get straight to it:
make your copy convey the message that they WILL get a good job if they fill out your offer.
rely on good copywriting skillz. this can make or break you.
good luck.
@imakemonies - I totally agree with you about the offer/copy. Unfortunately, I really do not want to make the copy say they will get a good job if they fill out my offer, because it's a lie just like all those "get an $87/hour" job scams.
I'll test this offer soon once I build out the main site more, but for now, it's on hold. I don't feel comfortable putting my name out there and lying to people.
@imakemonies: Thank you so much for the reply. That was a great way to start my morning. I agree the offer is too vague. I'm so afraid of lying/scamming and then letting them down a lot, that I couldn't even tell them what my product was? haha it seems so
I will not drop working on it - I'll keep tweaking.
