question from tutorial 3 in the getting started guide

"You can also try niche placements on adult advertising providers like ExoClick, TrafficForce or TrafficJunky. These can work well for newer affiliates, but don't run before you can walk. Stick to small placements in more obscure countries - trying to run on xHamster in Germany on Day 1 will result in you getting crushed by super-affiliates on the same platform. "

The part that caurmen made here for new affiliates can also start on adult advertising providers... When you said to stick to more obscure countries or ill be crushed by the big guys. Does that mean im going to have to focus the banner ads copy in that language of that obscure country.....? I just ask cause i think that might be a little harder to start out constantly having to translate.. thanks guys and all the best

Yes, it's called barrier to entry.

Having to translate to another language that isn't English automatically takes out the lazy marketers who couldn't be bothered.

If something seems a little harder it's probably a sign that you should go ahead with it.

Don't be lazy.

Alrighty just making sure. thanks craigm... But doesnt that mean i also have to find products to offer that are only in the certain language too....?

I guess main thing im trying to ask is i want to learn on the adult advertising providers, is it a bad idea to start there if im new to affiliate marketing..?

Ask your AM for adult offers that are doing well that accept these obscure countries, they'll have the language sorted, pick the offer & country 1st.

Exactly so!

Do NOT be tempted to skimp on translation. The cost of translation is, in the long run, tiny - and it can make or break a campaign.
