Ya,
I have a $1000 to invest at the moment and its just information overload. I am confused on what should I do - Facebook, POF - dating offers, ebooks, facebook apps.
So my question is, that if you have already made money in this PPV game, and had to start over with $1000, what would you do
I've been wondering the same thing kinda
I have a bit more than 1k and was inclined to do fb but suggested bids have been crazy high, need to think further on this
i would start with PoF promoting international campaigns (UK, Canada) or with PPV (using leadimpact) doing the same. Also check out this post by MrGreen:

Which suggests starting with Search.
No Doubt MrGreen/Besmir/Jordan can chime in on this one as well.
It's a really hard question to answer.
I would really say Facebook, POF or PPV are all fair options. They all have their pro's and cons but those 3 are definitely where you want to be when initially starting. PPV may have 1cent views vs FB $0.50 clicks, but at the end of the day it usually ends up costing a similar amount of $ for the lead.
I would login to all 3, and just jump into whichever one feels more natural and stick with that 1 traffic source for the whole $1000. Don't go jumping around to all 3 with the $1000, but there's no right or wrong answer on which traffic source to start off with.
Here's what i can tell you
1. Start off with an offer that has a payout under $10
2. Don't quit an offer early, give it a fair test. (A fair test is usually between 5-10x the payout in traffic.) So if your offer is a $10 mobile offer, make sure you spend at least $50 on your campaign before you decide it's not going to work.
3. Don't give up early, Most pro aff marketers test 50 campaigns with $100 spending each before they find working campaigns! It's something every does, and it's the game were in
4. They all take creativity, so be creative with your campaigns. Targeting walmart.com with a free walmart card (email submit) won't make you the $ you want.
5. There's no right or wrong when it comes to direct linking. Test both! Landing pages will work the more creative you are with them and the better they SELL what your trying to promote. You have to SELL IT!
I would do POF - direct link - dating offer with low login count
try offers which pay on 1st/2nd page submit (doesn't require email confirmation)
Just to expand on Stackman's comment
1. Start off with an offer that has a payout under $10 (Yup! Also make sure your offer is proven, just ask your affiliate managers which offers are getting volume)
It's something every does, and it's the game were in. (Yup! I lose money on more than half the tests I run, but don't forget about the losing campaigns. Note down what was close to working and what completely didn't work. You can always find something positive about a failing campaign)
4. They all take creativity, so be creative with your campaigns. Targeting walmart.com with a free walmart card (email submit) won't make you the $ you want. (Using a notepad and pencil works for me. I just write down all the different angles you can sell one offer. I wrote more about this here)
5. There's no right or wrong when it comes to direct linking. Test both! Landing pages will work the more creative you are with them and the better they SELL what your trying to promote. You have to SELL IT!
I'd go with POF too, with a direct link dating offer. Don't over complicate it.
You may have to rotate a few offers before you find one which works.
haha yeah, right on when you create small ads in POF you'll see this avatar :P
I agree - any of the three would work well. Make sure that you stick to one source, and just a few offers if you can. Dating and gaming are two niches that fit the criteria listed above and would work well.
If you do choose PoF - start with only a few ads at first. If you are brand new on PoF and launch up 100+ ads it can get out of hand really quickly. So don't go overboard so that you can properly test the ads and pause them before they crush your budget.
What is POF?
Contact Forms and ADWORDS = uncontested monies!
