New FB account, new ads.
I receive super high CTR, my bids drop very fast. After 300 clicks (per ad) I change my bid to facebook MAX suggested. I still keep receiving a lot of clicks until clock ticks 12:00 & day changes. Campaign spent all of the $250 budget within like 3 hours!
What comes next? New day, new clicks!!! Woot!
For my surprise I can't seem to get almost any clicks at all. It's been 5 hours and I have managed to spend $3! CTR is good, bids are very high!
I can't get more traffic!
That happened to another account as well.
Why? It is because account is new? What can I do about it? I want to receive clicks like avalanche!
Anyone else had this problem?

I just experienced the same problem with 2 other fb accounts i'm using that are new. They blasted out traffic and when clock struck midnight .... all the sudden traffic came to a stop, regardless of my stellar CTRs.
My rep at FB told me to increase the daily budgets to an absorbant amount and it would help. Also, he suggested to keep my bids 20-30% over the max suggested for 2 days. If you go in and change your bids to fast it can sometimes screw up the campaign.
1) I'd lift your daily budget.
2) I'd adjust bids back up.
Once the campaign and account has some history other than a measly 300 clicks to it, go in and re-adjust your bids to around 4-5 cents below the max suggested and you should be good. This is what I did, and it works like a charm.
I covered exactly this situation in my Facebook thread. Simple solution:
- Increase your CPC bid back to 75% where it previously was.
- Wait until mid day of the following day, and decrease the CPC bid back to where you have it right now
Rinse & Repeat daily.
@ mgrunin let me know if I understand you correctly.
If my fb suggested bid is .60-$1.00 per click I would set my bid 75% of max suggested which is $1.75, then let it run for the whole day and past midnight then once it is 12 pm afternoon I would then decrease my bid down to $1.00 then when midnight comes I would up my by 75% of fb max suggested and decrease back to $1 or lower depending on what I'm actually paying per click at 12pm repeating this every day.. Is this correct?
I get the same sometimes, only really with US based campaigns though. I believe the issue is that with the new day FB takes a fresh look at what ads to deliver, and if your bids are low they take a while to get into the delivery queue even if they have amazing CTRs. Doing what mgrunin suggests is the best way to combat it. Or just leave bids high if you have the ROI on your ads to afford it.
Lately I'm only lowering bids on ads I want to camp impressions on or when old ads slowly decline in CTR. Often it's a trade off with lowering bids - actually getting delivery/volume versus keeping CPC below EPC.
I have very cheap traffic but CTR drop very fast(in 2 day).

It wasn't until yesterday around 7pm that I noticed all my volume had disappeared. Pretty steady volume for a few days to, now its just a trickle of what it was!
Same problem. I raised my bid to 3-4x what I pay with my good CTR and I get more volume the new day, but I still only pay the same CPC, maybe 1-2 cents higher
here's a new one.. new UK fb campaign targeting approx. 84K demo, suggested bid $0.26 to $0.63 approved with no issues in under 30 mins, 100 ads... started at $0.30 now at $0.45 raised bid every 30 mins no impressions.... wtf?
nvm me being impatient started showing 0.588 CTR and $0.31CPC
that's where I'm at... $0.6 and setup SAT to max 0.80
