SocialAds Tool + EWA Tracking
I just got the SocialAds Tool running this morning, haven't had chance to go through all docs but does anyone care to provide any insight on how to do the tracking w/EWA?
My understanding is first you need to create a php file to reside on your server (once) [client side --> conversion tracking --> Websites]
Then create new conversion on External site
then when you create an ad you can reference which conversion tracking you want.
Where I get stuck is how & which tracking I add back to EWA
thanks a bunch!

Have your ads linking to your own server where you use a php file to redirect to EWA. Just attach all your subids to your link and use your php file to then add them all to the EWA tracking link. What tracking to use is dependent on the offer - some will allow pixels, iframes, javascript and postback, others just one or two. I like postback URLs to be honest, as the conversion show up immediately in my FB API and have never failed on me. Depends on if SocialAdsTool supports postback url tracking.
The linktrust platform interprets all the subids as one value which makes using postback URLs annoying, so if using postback urls as a pixel/conversion tracking method definitely attach your SocialAdsTool unique ad ID or whatever as AffiliateReferenceID to make it easy to postback.

Be careful using SAT tracking -
It's a massive nightmare if your direct linking to track pixels. I canceled my account with them long ago. And they kept trying to bill me for months after of fb adspend. Ofcourse, I got access to it through ppccoach.com, so I don't know if that is reflective on ppccoach or sat. Just be sure that if you cancel you double check they actually do it.
If it works for you then awesome! Just trying to lend some friendly advisory.

you need to disconnect from the FB app....if you don't you will get billed until you do..

Just send the {adgroup_id} to ewa
then you pass that back in a postback
Server to server call to register the conversions.
In this case there is no need to create redirects since your server will not have access to user cookies that were created for SAT tracking when it will be making a call to our tracking. In order for our tracking to “understand” which ad generated the conversion you need to set up on your side the system that will:
1) Remember the 77tadunit=XXXXX&77tadvert={Adgroup_Id} (described previously) tracking parameters that you added to the Landing page URL for each user.
2) Attach these parameters to the URL that you will make a call to via server to server method.

WEBSITE_TAG can be found in Client Admin ->Conversion tracking -> Website tab in the "Tag" column.
ACTION_TAG can be found in the Conversion settings and it located in the Conversion script as a fn77TAction or fn77TTransaction functions ID.

Dan -- this is what I have so far
Ok this is what I have so far
1. set-up the one time website conversion code for SAT
2. set-up conversion for the offer I'm running; add $ amount leave default settings, save then edit and copy the snippet; strip the iframe part add the https and paste on postback pixel @EWA
So far so good..
3. create campaign --> set-up add --> what's the Landing Page URL? I assume the offer URL + append this part "77tadunit=17ff093f&77tadvert={adgroup_id}"?
4. Finally, what's the click tracking options? do I select none or redirect/secure redirect?
thanks
SM

Was using p202 and was working fine.. some reason I had an itch to make Cpvlab work since I had the license sitting around managed to make it work but again it's really designed for PPV and you can't edit anything from there so I was on a quest for a decent tool.. Trialed Keybroker social and it's still buggy, demoed Upcast and SAT and thought SAT seems to be much faster and stable. I hear you though, I should have never went down that path and instead of wasting time on tools focus on launching more campaigns LOL

are you running it on DS? I heard p202 can be slower than CPVlab and redirecting performance can impact your cr

btw didn't ignore this part, you're suggesting doing conversion tracking --> 3rd party scrips select my conversion from dropdown and use server side URL.. This will be my option #2 see my post earlier on according to SAT support this method can work too since i'm pasting the conversion code iframe in https @ EWA.

Yep, pretty expensive DS - and since the upgrade on p202 it's been pretty fast.
