FunnelFlux Managed Version Released!

Hi all,

Big news!

FunnelFlux's managed service has now exited beta and we have made significant changes to our offering to provide a lot more value to you.

It is now cheaper, provides unlimited custom domains and free SSL on all of them, and we have moved away from having overages and a quota for traffic.

That's right, you technically can send unlimited traffic for a set price per month, within the realities of what your plan can actually handle - it's not a SaaS, so your servers aren't infinitely scalable - but we have no caps or overages. Technically I guess that is limited, but not by some plan quota or pricing structure.

So how do the plans work then? What about addons? What are the new prices? Do I get an STM discount?? I'll explain these all below.

(btw, check out our roadmap thread to see the exciting things we are working on, particularly for the managed version)

The New Plans

We have changed the way these are orientated, the infrastructure a bit, have reduced pricing, and have added a $179 plan for those of you at low volume (not necessarily low spend!) who don't want a big jump in price. Given the price of a self-hosted license, a server, your time and effort dealing with that server and so on, we think this is a pretty damn good deal.

Each plan now has a set infrastructure and with that comes X amount of database storage. You'll be able to manage that storage and prune data as you see fit.

So for example, on one of our plans you might be able to send 5 M users per month and it will take you 6 months to fill your DB before you have to delete data. On the same plan you could send 15 M users per month and have to prune your data older than 2 months to keep storage available. It would be up to you to balance volume/retention as you see fit.

This is great for those of you running higher volume e.g. on pops as you can invest in the plan that best aligns with your volume, then not worry about quotas, big bills from scaling, and instead only worry about how quickly you need to purge data from the system. This is one of the key advantages of a self-hosted system and we're now making it a key part of our managed offering.

In the plans above we have a "suggested volume" to give you an idea of a sensible amount that plan can handle. It can take more than that for sure, long bursts of 2-3x that suggestion, but it wouldn't be the best decision in the long run given the amount of DB storage and over-stressing of the infrastructure.

Another change we have made is a move to Cloudflare as a core part of our stack.

This gives us a number of benefits we can pass on to you:

  1. We can offer you free SSL (that's also much faster than having it on your server directly), and also provide this on all your CNAMEs (which are also unlimited with FunnelFlux). No more certificates to buy or set up.
  2. Your server IPs are obscured by Cloudflare. Less footprint, and easy as pie to change domains at the drop of a hat.
  3. You get the security Cloudflare offers, e.g. mitigation of DDoS attacks, firewalls etc.
  4. We manage this directly on your behalf. So, you need to change your nameservers to ours, but this lets us handle everything and have the system running smoothly. New domain you want to use? We can have it up and running, with SSL, in under an hour if all falls into place.
  5. Using Cloudflare, we are now able to offer even cheaper geographic load balancing for those of you who want a system with the highest performance possible around the globe. This used to cost $199 extra, now it's only $99/mo per region to add

Lastly, if you're a high volume user, we can also offer larger storage for your data with the highest tier plan.

How do addons work?

Our only addon now is geographic load balancing for $99/mo per region.

How does this work? Let's say you get the Flux Starter plan for $249 a month. You choose to have your server in Europe. You can then pay another $99/mo to add a location in Singapore, and add another $99/mo to put one in the US. Then, we make it so that your tracking domain (and all CNAMEs of course) will redirect users based on region to the closest data centre, leading to faster redirects and better ROI for you.

Currently we offer US west, US east, EU west, Singapore and India as locations.

If a specific location e.g. Australia is critical to your tracking performance, we can look at deploying a server ther as well (we just have to use a different provider to our main one, so only offer the above regions as a default).

All your data still gets stored in the same place, same data quota, just better tracking speeds especially if you're doing traffic across the globe.

What other important things should I know about?

Well, I am glad you asked.

Firstly, check out our roadmap thread here - it will list the latest things we have in our pipeline.

Here are some things that are happening now and some that will be only available in the managed system:

Exciting times. I'm proud of our small development team and just how fast we iterate and make these improvements.

Oh, and in case you missed it, we recently added auto-optimisation nodes that will route traffic to connected nodes based on historic EPV... and these can be added anywhere, not just before offers and landers, and you can add many of them in your funnel. You'll see a video tutorial on this from me soon...

Also, you can send traffic directly to landing pages with FunnelFlux - our on-page JS is extremely capable and only getting more advanced. It can track time on page, provide multivariate testing, returns data about the user for use on your page, and we have a beta release of JS that even injects data into the URL, page links and form submits to make complex tracking work even when you can't change links on your page. Shopify tracking is in our sights, and Clickbank/Clickfunnels full tracking is currently being tested :-)

What do I get as an STM Member?

Easy. For the self-hosted system you get a 10% recurring discount.

This is only available to new users i.e. those who have not had a subscription before (sorry old timers, but there's still something for you below).

For the managed system - which is honestly where we want you to be, as its the best way for you to get the most out of FunnelFlux, we are giving all active STM users a $100 credit.

How does that work? Visit our STM special page through this link, fill out our managed request sheet and we'll go through the general process of setting up a managed stack, getting you to register/pay and so on.

Once set up, we'll check that you're an active STM Forum member and will add a $100 credit to your account. This will reflect on your next invoice, so technically on the second month. So it's a bit different to a coupon or upfront discount. We have done it this way as it ensures only eligible users get the discount and of course to prevent abuse (affiliates will be affiliates...)

That's it! Do reach out if you have any questions, you can contact us at support@funnelflux.com or use the chat widget that appears on our sales page.

We look forward to seeing you work with FunnelFlux - and keep in mind there is still the $1 trial of the self-hosted system if you want to check things out before committing to a managed version. Our deployment manager makes it super easy to set it up on Vultr in 10 minutes.

Cheers!
Zeno
