Dating Success on FB?

Is anyone successfully pushing dating on FB?

Yes! I actually become slightly successful with the Dating Apps out there. You must find an angle and also get CTR about .2 - .3 or get clicks to about .11 - .17 cents. Of course the lower the better. Also, good luck getting approved, I had some trouble initially doing it, but with a little creativity nothing will stop you

Not sure whether this was posted before - but here is a copy of a blog post by C2M which was removed on advertisers request. Its got a very detailed description and tips for promoting FB dating apps.

^^ I've got a copy of that saved on my email and keep reading it - I'm going to get something up and running today for it to test the waters. Was just a bit unsure on actual ad text but they suggest to keep it simple and to the point.

That's a great post but I still think that getting 0.5% CTR on broad targeting for dating on Facebook is wishful thinking - BUT maybe that's because I haven't been able to do it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't the Flirt and Cupid apps getting affiliates banned by Facebook?

Or was that just the BeNaughty app?

Did you use a landing page or did you simply direct linked?

To my knowledge it's just BeNaughty and Flirt (anything adult) but I have heard rumours about Cupid.

If Cupid is allowed then the Cupid App will be allowed. I see no reason why Cupid would be banned.

Anything Adult will be a no go. Flirt have now changed their site and their focus. Like Mate 1 they no longer want to be seen as an adult site. Flirt changed their image and their landing pages. Unfortunately they need to convince Facebook about that before you can run Flirt again. BeNaughty = ADULT

Ditto.

I'd love to get some input from people who are doing big numbers with dating. I was able to do about $1k/day last year. After losing accounts and moving to some other verticals I only started running dating there again a few months ago. Its been a LOT harder recently. Much lower CTR's, stricter approvals and slimmer profits.

Margins are definitely slimmer, I think most of the big pubs make up for it in volume.

Average ROI for me ranges from 25% - 50% on a good week but I've only just started pushing dating so maybe your numbers are better.

I was doing about 1k-2k a day with dating when CPM was working. It was a lot easier then. It was all about the CTR and cheap clicks. Now with the CPC bidding clicks are obviously so much more expensive. I'm determined to get dating going back on FB though. I know people who are making money.

0.5+ ctr on broad targeting is achievable in less saturated countries, c2m's case study was for india from what i remember.

05-29-2011 02:24 AM #14 deondup (Member)

That makes sense. However, if you wanna do dating in The US or UK you'd have to get CTR's above 0.2% to see cheap enough clicks. That's a tough ask if you don;t have some razor sharp targeting in mind.

been' ballin' on dating for years on FB.
It's harder, you run through accounts like water, but once you master the art you're pretty much guaranteed profit for a long time.

Hmm... loking at a benaughty FB app. So this is not allowed?

Thanks!

ugh FB dating has been annoying me lately. I was getting .50-.70 epc's and was still having a hard time getting profitable -_- the rise in prices has been killing me

I pushed that offer with insane success... is that your ad that i'm always seeing about meeting single mormons lol.... i made a fanpage, spent .06 cents, got banned.. still got like 40$ in organic traffic, no joke. never did give it a second shot, thought dating was frowned upon, and been busy with other stuff on fb killin it.

Technically Cupid, GirlsDateForFree and Lovescanner (the app only, not the lead gen version) are approved by FB. Flirt and BeNaughty are not.
