About 2 weeks ago facebook decided to stop charging my card, obviously the account got paused due to not paying the bill which is fair enough.
I requested a new card from the bank which came today, I've tried to pay the outstanding balance so I can run the campaigns which were on there but it just says there was a problem charging the card :S
I can add it as a funding source fine so the card validates fine but when I try to pay them it doesn't go through. I know it could be the bank not allowing the payment (I will be ringing them tomorrow morning) but just wanting to know if anyone could maybe shed any light or have experienced the same issue.
Cheers
EDIT
just remember i also tried to pay it using paypal so it's not the card thats the issue
Same thing happend to me. I canned the account and started a one.
I was using virtual cards and they could only have a spending limit of $8000 max, so I had to add new cards like every 4-5 days. Seems they don't like VC's
What virtual cards were you using? do they still work?
Nah not on that account couldn't even pay with a new card I got. I did manage to pay with paypal one time though but it didn't work more than that one time.
I was using VC's I got from my bank in Sweden
Is it possible the bill is so big the charge gets denied at the bank side? - new card, fraud prevention etc.
Don't think so, new cards just need to get verified then your ok to spend as much you want. It's probably facebook saying "We don't need your money go screw yourself" :P
I'm going to ring the bank to double check but I don't think it's to do with the amount, it's only about $3k.
I've made a new account using that card and seems to be fine, I'll spend some cash on that account this weekend to see if it gets charged and just accept the free monies from facebook
