I went over some threads in particular:

I think Caurmen suggested signing up to some affiliate networks. I look at the advanced version, but there was so many, so decided to choose the beginner 5 in the 1st link.
My question is:
1) Most of the networks application are pretty lengthy and some questions (
This depends on your knowledge level.
On one hand, you really CANNOT do anything, without having access to products to promote. On the other hand, there is some learning curve you need to go through, prior to even considering applying to a network - because you won't be able to answer the questions in the applications and they will kick you out.
So the question is : how much do you actually know about AM and the basic principles?
Note: you are using a 6 years old thread for choosing networks, you might want to rely on more up to date information.
Hey Alex - welcome to STM!
All you need to get started, if you haven't decided on which verticals to run, is get approved by a few of the big networks. They'll provide you with more than enough offers to play with.
Apply to the newbie-friendly networks first. Here are some just off the top of my head: Adsimilis, Clickdealer, Affiliaxe, Aragon,
Here are valuable tips on how to get into aff networks as a newbie:
https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...-First-Network
Don't be scared about getting rejected - in this industry you'll need to get used to it and just keep trying. We all get rejected by some aff networks, get campaigns rejected by traffic sources, get banners and landers rejected by advertisers...it's a part of every affiliate marketer's life. Focus on applying to a few more networks and ignore the rejections.
One big tip: The main thing most networks are looking for in an affiliate, is the drive to succeed. Most of them are OK with inexperienced people as long as they show that they're proactive and big action takers, that are not just all talk and no action. Go set up a really simple wordpress site for yourself or your company, where you list some of your online and offline work experiences (not necessarily has to be marketing-related) and a self-intro, state somewhere that you're an aspiring affiliate marketer and that you're a member of STM, along with your contact information. Upload a pic so people can see that you're a real person. Taking the time to build a simple site will show networks that you're serious about affiliate marketing and aren't just applying on a whim.
Once you get accepted into 3 networks or more, focus on testing offers for the next while. Having more offers to choose from across more networks can be a good thing, but you won't want your revenue split-up across 10 networks, all under minimum payout threshold. You can always apply to more when you're making consistent profits and have a solid knowledge on how to test lots of offers at the same time. Once you're accepted into a few networks, getting into more networks would be a piece of cake.
Best of luck - and let us know if you need help with anything!

Hi @alexong123, here to help you get the ball rolling, its a great journey (for those who can handle it!).
Feel free to add me on skype at joanieschneider.dqna and I can help you with your application to Adsimilis, or answer any questions you may have.
Thanks @ Matuloo - that made it really clear, maybe for me, I just needed someone to clarify, but a balance seems to be what's needed. Thanks for your help mate, you seem to be always there lending a hand, big thanks to you!!!!
Will work on my foundations. I found it pretty ok, answering some most of the questions, 1/2 stumped me, but just googled it, and seems Vortex's recommendation was pretty on-point of the networks.
But will definitely work on my foundations and improving on them.
@ Vortex - applied to all those networks - will be waiting for confirmation and be working with the affiliate managers - looking forward to working together with him/her, to build a long-term relationship. W
Thanks for the invaluable information.
@ JoanieAdismilis - applied few hours ago, waiting to hear back soon, thanks for skype accept
Whatever you need, just ask.
