Anyone else got $2000 increased spend limit on Facebook Ads? (44)

Anyone else got $2000 increased spend limit on Facebook Ads?

I barely touch my facebook ads account in the last month, mostly because I have been focusing on other traffic sources. I only spend $131 in july.

A couple of months ago I try to increase my spending limit but couldn´t do it. The most I got was $400 daily spending limit, and today I received this email:

"Thank you for being a trusted Facebook Ads user. We have reviewed your account and increased the spend limit on your Facebook Ads account to $2,000.00. Your new spend limit will take effect within 24 hours."

Anyone else got their daily spending limit increased without asking for it?

Yep, this happended to me yesterday too

Yeah my limit was increased on an account I don't even use for ads, because it's my real facebook account. I guess they're getting desperate for new advertisers, haha.

yeah this happened recently to 2 of my lesser-used accounts. Wonder if they're trying to ramp up revenue growth % in order to justify that (expected) $100 Billion valuation before they go public next year? Hopefully their next step will be to loosen restrictions on ads a little, like they did in '09!

Yeah I can see them laxing up as their rev's start drowning (I use that term loosely). Ya can't ban all the big spenders just cause we're affs.

I requested an increase from my 2500 account and they wudnt do it

This happend to one of my accounts as well. Crazy haven't used it since april and my main account only has a $1000/day spending limit.

If they would stop banning advertisers, they wouldn't need to make up the difference. Lol

Why didn't they raise your account?

07-18-2011 06:29 PM #14 izmb (Member)

they only raised it on the old accounts that been around for a while, dont feel bad.

07-18-2011 07:25 PM #15 chris_m (Member)

Yep, raised mine couple of weeks back to 2k - their terms always said anything above 1k would have to be requested. I'd love to get something rocking on FB, but my preferred niche of dating is too soul destroying to keep pushing on FB.. at least until I get another surge of enthusiasm to take it on...

an account that i havent touched for half a year got a raise to 2K last week.. guess they need some monies

07-20-2011 01:56 AM #17 simond (Member)

07-20-2011 07:08 AM #18 Richie (Member)

I got it too although i haven't run any campaigns in the last couple weeks.

07-20-2011 08:22 AM #19 izmb (Member)

Saw the email yesterday, got one more account raised to 2k, from $50. Weird. I used that account like 2 times, and spent around $200 in total.

What's a 2k account worth after this? I might be willing to sell one.

08-16-2011 06:09 PM #30 jakz (Member)

Yeah, FB seems to be going nutz with upping peeps budgets lately. I have had two accounts raised from $250 to $2,000 in the past week. One of the accounts is used constantly and the other I have not posted anything with in months. Brother gonna be usin' it now!

this.

it's my personal account that i've had since 2004 and also just got a raise to 2k a day. i've barely ever run anything on facebook so i guess they just felt generous.

is there a way to actually delete old campaigns? and transfer pages? for pages i assume i can just make another account and make that one an admin then unlike, correct?

08-19-2011 07:38 AM #32 jq_q (Member)

Yeah, I ended up in the same boat got a 2k account. Now banned, I created 70 ads 67 got disapproved 3 got approved. I ran the 3 ads. 4 hours later. Account disabled.

08-19-2011 03:33 PM #33 cashmoney (Member)

Just logged into a fb account I don't use and it says the daily spend limit is unlimited. That can't be right though, can it? I've never used it for ads before and it's probably only 3.5 years old.

My personal account with the 2k limit was made in 2004 which is why this seems weird to me.

Any insight?

All accounts start with unlimited spend limit shown. As soon as you start spending money the actual $50/day (or whatever) limit will show up there.

08-19-2011 04:28 PM #35 cashmoney (Member)

Ah. I was going to say... there's no way that account would have a higher limit than my normal one. Good to know.

Any idea why you got banned?

Just got my account approved to $2k. Kinda weary about running any sketchy ads now. No guts no glory!

I'm the same, I had issues with an account of mine. I was hitting the $50 budget for about 3 weeks and they never bumped it past $50. Now I get an email saying it's been bumped to $2k limit

08-24-2011 04:01 AM #39 lavish (Member)

Wow... my increases were consistent... every 4th successful payment of the daily budget hit they would bump it up a notch. The bump from $750 - $2000 was only two days though. Granted each of my campaign budgets are, and always have been, quite high.

Yop got the same message too

Looking for a new fb account. If anybody has any they want to sell, PM me with the price you're looking for.

08-30-2011 06:54 AM #42 stacksofgreen (Member)

Also, does anybody know how to transfer FB accounts without credit card information being revealed? I'm assuming there's no way for the seller to remove the primary funding source...

08-30-2011 08:20 AM #43 ppvnewbie (Member)

This issue has been discussed already, might give the search function a try ;-)
