My first campaign (taken seriously) (10)

My first campaign (taken seriously)

Hi,

I threw up a PPV campaign in the payday loans niche on Thursday, my first serious campaign, and wanted to share the early results for some feedback as to where to go from here.

I went with LeadImpact as my traffic source and use Prosper for tracking with Besmir’s mod for updating click costs included.

I’m using just one image-based mash-up lander ripped from the offer page and linking it to just this one offer.

Keywords used at present are all in the standard domain.com format with no variations.

Here are the results so far, Thursday June 30th to Saturday July 2nd inclusive.

As you can see I’ve spent over 3 times the offer payout so far and am profitable. I’ve not killed any keywords yet as I haven’t spent anywhere near the offer payout on any of them, never mind the recommended 2x.

Any suggestions on what my next steps should be?

Disclaimers: I don't do much PPV, but...

Let it run some more. To get more data.

Find more sites like that first one, especially ones that have volume.

Awesome when something is profitable off the bat.

Yup, scale and optimize. Looks like a winner so far

Hey ,

looks like you are at a good start.

Now I would suggest leaving all keywords until they spend 3x the payout. This is because in the financial niche time of the day / day of the week has a huge impact.

This way you will have more statistically significant data.

While for your winning keywords , use the "Similar Domain Finder" tool in affexpert to get more targets. Start adding them slowly ( 5-10 / batch ) and test.

Also , your landing page is a winner , but you can prob improve it more.

Try adding an alert box : http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...-LP-CTR-and-CR and split test with or without audio.

I feel you can squeeze a lot more from this campaign.

Last , try to port it to TrafficVance too. They convert better for me in the finance niche.

a great start and lots of positive signs.

run it for a couple more days as is.
remove targets when you hit 1xpayout that have no clicks
remove targets when you hit 2xpayouts that have clicks but no conversions
try and bid in top position if your conversions on the 2 targets with 3 and 2 conversions continues to see if you can get more traffic
start bidding on domain variations of the domains you are getting 2+ conversions on

Ok, I'll do this.

Good suggestion, but will have to do it in small batches for now as my budget isn't all that big.

Yeah, dropped lucky first time off with the landing page. Great suggestions, I'll try these and keep updating as I go along.

Will struggle with this right now as funds won't allow.

I've mostly been varying between 1st and 3rd position for most of my targets, competition ain't all that fierce really, so don't know if there is that much more traffic to be had.

How far should I take this? How many variations on one domain would you suggest I use. I'm just imagining the headache of changing bids for all of them

What's the concencus on Individual User Cap settings when starting campaigns?

I would set it once in 4-5 days to increase the life of the campaign.
