Question about PPV?

If your testing an offer:
Payout: 3.5
Targets: 4.5k

How much would you spend on the offer before canning it? How much of a loss would you take before deciding?

4.5k targets are A LOT.

I generally spend 2x-3x the payout on each target.

You should start with the most 20 relevant targets first and move from there.

I second that. I'm one for hitting a small amount of targets for an initial test, then once I have a grip on things I start expanding on targets.

well the thing is they are all closely related to what im promoting, but I understand what your staying, I got 4 leads from spending 50, so I will just run those and see what happens.

When you do a small test is it just with one angle ie, the 30-40 targets are similar or have a number of angles to work out which way to go ie, go wide and then deep?

I spread it about....like for a certain demo they might be "in" a few places...I try to organise things as google ad planner does....kinda by catagories......and maybe 5 or 6 targets from each....


eg...justin bieber....

justin beiber music sites ........5-6
justin beiber fan sites ........5-6
kidde game sites .........5-6
similar music artist sites ......5-6
related keywords.......... 5-6

thats pretty much how I would start a test with

The reason the list was so big, was cause I dumped every USA city in there lol. It was pretty crazy volume

It depends on the approach honestly, if you're going demographically and you're willing to lose it - fine. That still seems a bit high though.
