Branded Email/ZIP Submit PPV

Anybody had any success promoting well brand email/zip submit like walmart, ikea, victoria secrets, macys, best buy...etc..etc..

I tried direct linking, spent like $300 bucks with no success at all!

Also I was rotating offers between different networks...and nothing, nada, zero...not even 1 conversion...wierd...what am I doing wrong?

I was targeting url the way Mr, Green was suggesting:

brandname.com
.brandname.com
brandname.com/
brandnamecom

etc...etc...give all the spins you want

Anyone had any success with this strategy? what am I doing wrong?

$300 and not even one conversion? That seems a bit odd, especially since you were rotating offers on different networks.

How much were you spending per offer? What tracking were you using, and was traffic been forwarded properly to the offers? What PPV network were you using?

yeahh! wierd....
I using Prosper, and I double checked my links to make sure everything is ok.
I was using LI and Direct cpv

I guess Submits are tricky to convert. Time for me to move to other vertical

ive had success with this approach but a couple of things to note:

1) always test DL and LPs - some offers worked better DL others worked better with LP
2) they can burn out quickly
3) ive not had a lot of luck getting this to work on DCPV
4) its a numbers game - get them out quikly > 5-7 of 10 bomb, 1-2 break even, and 1-2 make decent profit
5) move on quickly. if your bidding on the brand domain with a branded offer and it doesnt convert within a $10 spend - stop & regroup. If others are making money with it then you can try a different angle. I normally just move on to the next one.

Here is an example of one of my campaigns (babies r us)

Now you said you spend $300?

did you test 30 offers? if less then 30 your spending too much i think and your not moving on quickly enough. unless of course the $300 covered different campaigns with different angle's

thanks tijn!...that's what happned... I didn't move fast enough.
I test only 5 offers. I thought if it is not converting today will convert tomorrow and I got burned!

I see, you have to test and get out in 10$ bucks and move on to the next offer, until you find a winner

$300 spend with no conversions on email submits is pretty rough... Were there clicks showing up at the network? If there weren't then something got messed up with your tracking setup along the way. Even a bad email submit will convert a little bit in most cases.

Dude something is wrong with the offer or tracking or traffic. Branding campaigns are sure bets for conversions. Which network did you get your offer from?

Submits are a huge pain in the ass which is why I seldom ran them as an affiliate, I do however run them for myself which does have some decent ROI after you figure it out.

Couple points as an affiliate that could help you out:

1. You're doing the most obvious tactic there is basically, everyone tries that shit, it's hard to make money. What I did was get custom creative approved and often supplied by the advertiser. So for example, maybe there's NOT a home depot submit running this month on ANY network, so I would get approved to run it to one of the submit merchants (no competition) Many times I just looked at what was out there and went to totally separate brands. I was the first guy to run an Applebees submit, KFC, Dairy Queen and a host of others. All I had to do was go to the merchants and say I want to run this brand or that, the end.

2. Know if you're being fucked, and if so how much. Ripping the lander and adding in icontact or whatever takes 2 minutes. Run them side by side, if you see 50 leads in your icontact and 3 on your network, now you know you're getting scrubbed like a freshly pissed on carpet (first thing that came to mind for some reason)

The first tip made me hundreds of dollars a day pretty consistently but its still work and frankly I don't know anyone who's banked much higher than that with submits that isn't lying about it. To me, you want to spend your time and energy on the verticals that can produce 4 and 5 figure days consistently and in the long term, submits are too volatile and most people's time and money are better spent working other offers to profitability.

That makes a lot of sense, however I wonder whether you can make that work if you're just starting out. ie, my guess would be that a merchant want to see some history on you?

Good one as well, thanks!

I always tested first and if you do the same I don't think your experience level will be a factor. So when I did applebees as an example, I had the lander made, put in icontact and just ran views on CPV. I looked at my CPA, if it was well under $1 or so which it always was because I was generally one of the only bidders on the targets I'd want to build landers for, I'd go to the merchants I worked with and got it approved to run with their backend.

The ones you see on the networks are the most obvious ones and they are rotated because of burn out. Affiliate marketers are typically very lazy, if you have traffic for a merchant, they will generally want it, and they definitely appreciate an affiliate who comes to them with tested creative and proven conversions.

I'd generally get 1000 lead cap or so from the advertiser and as long as my traffic performed where it needed in relation to their other mainstream network landers I was able to run as much as I could.

from CX and Epic. Next time I'll try to rotate within more networks and move out faster.
