Scholarship Guide for Facebook

1.) Scholarships can be tricky when it comes to CPM and CPC, so try both. Banner blindness WILL affect you, your CTR will dip quick because of no frequency cap feature on Facebook Ads. Demos should be over 25. If you're pushing Scholarships 4 Moms, grab pictures of mom+daughter. NO KWS.

2.) Make sure your leads aren't already in college/going to college. The advertiser monetizes by sending them to schools. We've created a lander that pulls conversion rates upwards of 30-40%. It's a simple concept - HUGE results. Ask for it. Check out the ad material that works:

Title: Moms Get $10k For College
Description: If you're 21 or older with at least 1 child you qualify.

3.) Now you have no excuse to turn dimes into dollars. Your only job is to find the images and you're golden. Be sure to keep rotating creatives to keep your CTR fresh. Split test the demos for 25+ by 5 year incremental age groups. This will help CTR and find where ROI is.


*The biggest part of this guide is giving away the only adtext you'll ever need to always make this work. More often than not, the ads that are most direct in what they say will yield the best results.

Do you recommend linking to a pre-sale lander or direct linking to the offer?

Does FB allow or is cloaking required?

I ran scholarships back in the day on FB and wrote a post about it in my FB Thought Process guide

Anyway the issue I had was that a lof these offers have an exit pop that FB doesnt like. One way around it is to bait and switch. The other is to ask you AM for a lander without the exit pop. A third is to build a bridge page which typically looks just like the offer page.

When I tried the bridge it didn't yield a higher ROI, but feel free to split test and see how it does for you.

Just be sure the offer allows FB too. Scholarships 4 Moms and Dads no longer accepts it (at least not from Neverblue)

Actually we have exit pops turned off for our affiliates - helps get your ads through.

@ubershawn - We work directly with the advertiser behind these scholarship deals and they def. take Facebook traffic.

*I've PM'd all of you who want the exact lander that generates the high conversion rates!

Is Facebook still a royal pain in the ass and denying everything under the sun?

Anyone have any good FB ad management scripts worth using? Can't imagine messing with FB without one.

Yah send over the lander for me too... another thing though is what about targeting.. you said just females over 25? thats a huge target and kinda hard to get high ctrs with that right? only a small percent of moms over 25 want to go to college..

For all of you looking for the lander I bet it looks just like the offer page with a simple button instead of form and some points about money can be used for bills, tuition, text books, etc.

Theres a great thread about how to make a lander from offer page.

I tried Scholarships 4 Mums (with PKM) some time ago on PPV with little success. I created my own landers and although they got good ctr, they didn't convert.

So, I'd also like to see the lander which does well for this offer and I'll try and run some traffic again.
