Where Your Facebook Clicks REALLY Are Coming From

just a quick post about traffic because I see quite a few posts floating around with people asking "Why is prosper showing 100 clicks and the network is showing 75.....

Besides the whole unqiue click counting that goes on each tracking platform

here is some quicks stats from a camp I was running in Indonesia and the Phils

mind you those were the only 2 countries selected in FB

ID - 14445
PH - 1867
AU - 488
US - 67
JP - 15
IT - 11
CA - 8
IN - 4
CO - 2
RU - 2
NO - 2

and about 10 other countries with 1 hit each....

So fb is def sending clicks that are not gonna show...

more than 3% of my clicks are coming from countires that I wont get paid for.....

On a smaller sample it could even be worse numbers wise....

Not saying that networks aren't wrong just saying that FB sends crap too alot of the time....

I would assume Facebook demographics are on profile country not country of login. Sucks

Proxy users would affect that as well, logging in at school or work. You can also email advertiser support and tell them you want to charge back those clicks (they love that shit)

Keep those logs. I got a $9000 refund from Facebook after complaining about invalid clicks.

Did you have to document that in some way? If so, what do you use to log this?

Whats the best way to take a huge list of IP's (over 5k) and do a country lookup?

FB serves ads sometimes based on location the user sets. I'm in Australia right now but my ad board is full of ads from SF.

It's probably Indians posing to be from US so they can sneak into Eagles network just kidding buddy.

Did you just sent email to fb that you want refund from those logged clicks and attached proof with email? Or you're doing so big numbers that you have your own account manager and talked to him/her?

When there's night in usa and i run campaigns then there's sometimes 30% international traffic which is way too much.

Unless I misunderstood, but I wouldn't really care if the discrepancy was only 3%. I would think that's pretty decent.
