Help With Auto Insurance Lander For CTR

I ran this page a long time ago and never followed through on it b/c I'd spend $50 and make $50.... spend $100 and make $100.

I ran a zip submit and a state submit on it with about a 12-15% click to conversion.

1. How can I increase my CTR on this page in pop traffic, it was getting about a 2% on broad targets.

Things I've done.. I tried adding audio and it tanked the CTR... I've swapped out the image with many others.

2. How can I increase the zip or stat submit from 12-15% click to conversion to more like 30%. I find it hard to believe that people click through and the page clearly states what to do yet only 12%-15% actually take the action. Seems like a state or zip submit should have more like a 30-40% click to conversion.

This was ran on PPV traffic.

Here's the lander... any suggestions would be great.

I think in this one geoscripts should help a decent bit e.g "California has new auto insurance rates they DON'T want you to know about".

Haha I also wonder if you have a police siren how effective that would be...

I whipped up something you should try.

Also maybe talking more about dollar amounts or savings might help. E.g save 100's of dollars or get up to 70% of your auto insurance (whatever is compliant)

I tried the police siren already... CTR tanked went form 2% to 1%

This looks cool though.

Do you have the files for this?

Haha the sirens were worth a shot!

I wonder if you get a news anchor voice over.

Here are the files http://www.zshare.net/download/9080171712244be5/

Hey stay away from auto insurance on ppv - that's mine - jk

IMPO

I have tested auto insurance landers out the wazoo.

While auto insurance is evergreen, the offer you run will eventually die and you'll have to start over and your lander will be worthless.

IME If the offer doesn't convert direct link, then it's not gonna convert off your lander.

Stick as many auto insurance offers as you can find direct link in your rotator and let it run.
Pick the best and ride it till it dies.

Once you have a profitable direct link campaign running, sure you can split test a few landers that flow into the offer you've chosen.
Rarely will you ever be able to make an auto insurance better with a lander. They are not that type of campaign.

If the auto insurance advertiser isn't up to speed on giving you a contextual specific lander that you can direct link to then you are not going to improve it with your own lander.

my 2 cents, I'd love to hear otherwise.

Cheers

I've made auto insurance work better with landers for sure. The part that is frustrating is they click through knowing they need to select a state or enter a zip yet I can only ever seem to get about 20-25% of them take action.

What about targeting high volume URL's? If you can get lets say 20,000 impressions on TV which is a lot in a day and set frequency to 7 days couldn't you run this for a very long time?

Rotate in a lander with a hyperlinked pixel. You might be surprised with your CTR.

Try travelers.com on Trafficvance. Make sure your server can handle that traffic volume - there is your high volume for testing.

travelers.com is terrrible for auto insurance offers. I've ran so many capture pages and direct link offers to that site it's not even funny. It converts, but more like 1 out of 2,000 impressiosn. Not to mention the bids on it are .01 and have been for years which tells me it more than likely doesn't convert for most people. Those high volume "obvious" URL's like travelers are the devil in PPV... they look good, but usually don't convert. .01 bid and all the experienced people in TV and travelers is at .01 tells me it's a non-converting URL for auto insurance, and again I've tested it sideways, backwards, forwards and inside and out.

Investment stuff is an entirely diff story ...think laterally....what else does travelers do? and you might find some surprises there.....

Just make a fake landing page with a tracking link that no human can hit. I always test quality this way. I've seen bot traffic on mediatraffic generating up to 20% CTR on keywords. Fuckers.

I've seen this on Ad On Network as well... I had a gaming lander with 30% CTR for wizard101... I sent about 600 clicks with 2 conversions, which seemed impossible considering my lander was all about wizard101, pretty much a mirror of the offer page.
