[FREE BETA] The JumpTap Mobile Uploader is LIVE! (8)
Hey guys,
I'd like to invite you all to begin beta testing the JumpTap uploader today!
You are one of the first to get access to this semi-public beta.
It's still pretty ghetto, but we are working on it every day to improve it. I thought the most important thing was to get it out to you guys so you can start using it and giving us good feedback.
To begin uploading ads faster than ever before, simply to go http://accounts.ipyxel.com/signup and sign up for an account.
Current/Future Support & Cost
The uploader currently only supports JumpTap, but we plan to roll it out for AdMob and Mojiva in the near future as well. It will remain free for the foreseeable future as we work to bring you the best possible tool we can. If you have requests for other ad networks, please post them!
We will not charge for the tool until we are supporting multiple ad networks and completely comfortable with the tool's capabilities and the service we can provide you. Our goal is to ship code as much as possible so that as soon as we improve on something, you get the benefit (and can provide us with valuable feedback!)
Easy Naming of Ads and Tracking URL's for Batches of Ads
We've also instituted a naming system for you to name your batches of ads as well as generate the appriate tracking links. You're able to use campaign name and ad size tokens that we've provided so you can pass those strings to the tracking URL and ad name in any way you want. For example, if you put [Campaign]-[adsize] as your ad name, then all the ads you upload will contain the campaign name and the ad size (e.g. 250x50) in the ad names.
In addition, you can create your own serial tokens. For example, you can create a 7-digit serial number to add to each ad name: [Campaign]-[adsize]([adserial1])
That would result in something like:
CampaignName-250x50(0000001)
For the next ad, the serial number would be 0000002. These tokens can be used the same way to generate your tracking URLs too.
Play around with the tool and if you're not understanding how it works, please ask here and I will gladly clarify things.
When uploading files from your computer, you can select multiple files at once. You do, however, need to make sure the ad sizes you are uploading are allowed by your campaign parameters such as the device you're targeting.
Bugs and Feedback
We've tested the uploader quite a bit, but this is still very much in beta. While there are a few known bugs that we are working on, the tool, however, is capable of doing what it's supposed to do: to upload a ton of ads at once for you.
The MOST VALUABLE thing that you can do for us is provide detailed feedback! There is no such thing as stupid feedback. We make it very easy for you to write your feedback on all pages of the beta. Help us make you the tool that YOU want. So please please please let your voice be heard about every little detail.
Security Concerns
The ONE thing that I have been trying to do and what I CARE about the most is building trust in this industry. We take security and trust VERY seriously.
For you to have the ability to upload tons of ads faster than ever before, you have to give your JumpTap credentials to the tool.
We have a privacy policy, but you don't care about that. What I will tell you is this: our goal is to build a reputable TECHNOLOGY company. It's in our best interest and our utmost desire to build and maintain trust in this industry so we can move forward as a brand.
I have continually helped lots of marketers, including members of this forum, without asking for anything in return, for just that purpose of trust building. Many members of this forum have given me access to their respective traffic accounts because they understood that I had no alterior motives. Take a look at our site for the free tools we've been providing as well as those who endorse our products.
I want to see you succeed, which would lead to the success of our technology. That is the bottom line. If you still have concerns over this, please contact me directly. 4/1/2012: As it stands right now, you have to stay on the page while the campaign is uploading until it says it's finished. If you exit the window, it won't work. Also, not ALL the options are available yet, but we're working on it. Currently supports Android and iPhone.
Oh this is fresh as! Starting to look at some mobile stuff myself these days so this is perfect timing

Um when I use the uploader, the destination URL uploaded contains only the first 42 chars. Anyone else having this problem or that's me screwing up?
We had a dumb programmer tinkering around with stuff the last few weeks. He's fired now lol...so little bugs like this could definitely exist. Could you please submit this via the feedback box? We'll take a look as soon as possible.
