If so and using in game images, what ctrs are you seeing? I'm averaging around .15.
i ran games several times but never used ingame images..you should try to get a ctr of 0.3+ to profit..but check with your am if using other images is okay.
I was doing decent with a browser game... in fact, that was my first profitable campaign... averaging around $150 - $200 a day profit.... from memory it was about 150% ROI. Not the greatest but not too bad considering I hardly optimized it.
Yea I used to run non in game images but now its a requirment for almost every offer that I came in contact with.
Is it safe to run downloadable games like Shaiya, Grand Fantasia, Allods on fb?
I run games and use in-game images. Asking what CTRs is pretty vague and varies for what offer? demo? targets? etc. My account average on FB is .3. I've had profitable campaigns where CTRs are in the 1%, others in the .07s, and everything in between.
Yes those games are pretty safe.
dowork:
are you running last dynasty? Thats the one im working on
for those of you not running in game images what kind of images perform best? weird wtf ebaum's world style images?
I was using in game images for the game I was promoting. I just found an angle that worked on that one. To be honest, I can't figure out how to convert Last Dynasty and those anime style games.
Maybe we can get some people to chime in on how to make these games work
That'd be good.
If anyone knows any networks running FB Games that would be awesome too.
Good question - I like where this thread is going. Last year I was running a browser game and running some nice nice volume (3k-5k+/days) Dark Orbit. I had alot of luck with it but it kind of goes back to the whole CPM/CPC thing. I was running these ads on CPM.
Has anyone tested CPM gaming lately?
Yea its the downloads like gamevance or playsushi that aren't allowed but can still get approved
They were disapproving ALL downloads a few months ago, but they've loosened up on downloadable games (not adware). These days the downloadable games usually go through without any problems.
I ran a game offer (lead gen, not a browser game though) a week or so ago, and the requirement was to use in-game shots. It converted pretty well when I targeted likes with similar games, but it was international and difficult to get a large reach (it was around 30k).
I also sprinkled in some more attention grabbing ads (not in-game shots), which got a higher CTR (around 0.17), but they didn't convert very well. The in-game shots converted very well, but didn't get a very high CTR (0.07).
I couldn't find a way to get it profitable, although I am still learning the fb ropes.
I managed to get a browser game offer to run on FB and was making ~100 rev day but after speaking to my AM, I stopped the campaign because I wasn't using in-game images. I was too quick in plugging the offers into cpvlab and uploading the images on facebook without checking the terms.
I'm now going to run the same campaign again with the right images. Doubt that I would get the CTR as high as my previous campaign but I'm going to give it a shot since I know the metrics to be profitable.
It's possible to use in-game images and most of the times it works well if you use keyword targeting. Google screenshots of the game and test a lot of images, most of the times the images which shows the entire UI of the games work best.
Another tip for the ad title: try to provoke the user. If you have "Final Fantasy" as a keyword for example, your ad title should be something like "This game beats FF". Don't use the full name of the game to avoid complaints, every final fantasy player will know what you mean anyway.
Try it, it works ;-)!
