HI there!
I have just launched my first campaign on Facebook.
The offer I'm running is Be2 (UK)
Tracking with CPV Lab.
I'm testing the same offer from EWA and Neverblue.
I've tried 20 ads so far, all of the images are different and I have 2 different versions of the ad copy. Tried a few images from mgrunin's post - http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...acebook-Images and the rest of them are images that I have sourced.
Yesterday I just about broke even (Sunday). The best CTR I've had so far is 0.048%. Not ground breaking I know, hehe. I'm aiming for a 0.15% CTR.
Being a total noob at Facebook I have a few questions:
1.) If I'm testing 20 ads, what kind of daily budget should I set, and how long should each ad run before I can make a call and decide which ones are keepers?
(so far I've let each ad spend reach $10, while 1 converting ad has reached $30)
2.) How many ads do you test with a dating campaign?
3.) Do you keep testing images until you find 1 that gets a decent CTR, or submit an identical ad multiple times to see if it sticks - (like Polar Bacon says in this post - http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...ok-**UPDATED**)
Just figuring out what the most efficient way is to test FB ads with out wasting monies.
Total spend = $190
Revenue = $47
1. I usually test each ad with a minimum of 25 clicks (if the CTR allows it) to see the CVR.
2. If your acc. has a daily spending limit of $50, perhaps 10-15 ads.
But your CTR sucks for dating, gotta focus on getting better pics.
always use mywot.com to see the ratings.. if it's red don't even bother it can get your a/c banned (and i lost 2 a/cs this every way). Be2UK is basically a no based on ratings..
what if I cloaked the account, wouldn't that work? what do u mean by Be2UK a no based ...u mean it has not been rated yet by WOT?
Read it like this:
Be2UK is basically a "NO", based on ratings.
How's the campaign - Be2 FB Traffic version has been exploding.
I've been trying a few different ways of setting up the campaigns.
With the last set of ads I had 4 ads in each campaign, with identical ad copy, each ad with a different image.
3 campaigns.
So that gave me 12 ads for this run.
1 image was the best converting by far, but the CTR still sucked (0.06%).
But hey it was profitable.
So the next step will be to replicate that exact ad 4 times in another campaign aiming for a higher CTR. Maybe with different colored borders around the image.
