What is content arbitrage?
Marketing monetized editorial content to make a profit.
This can be done by building your own sites or partnering with ac well established content arbitrage publisher.
Wait, Who is PubPlus?
PubPlus creates 1000’s of articles that can be promoted by our affiliates using our top notch campaign management and content distribution technology, allowing profitable and scalable content arbitrage across all marketing channels.
Now, for our promised case study
In this case study, we wanted to highlight how one of our affiliate partners was able to drive 2.3M clicks to one article in a very short period of time, simply by recognizing and manifesting the success of one campaign.
But let’s go back for a second to further understand how this partner was able to do that
At the end of October last year, just before Black Friday, this partner experienced initial success with distributing a specific article.
As the screenshot below shows, a Facebook campaign was launched on October 30th, generating over 200% ROI on its first day. Our partner immediately started scaling.

Understanding they had a “Winner”, But not sure if it’s the article or the creative, they sat to work and created more campaigns with different targeting, conversion objectives and creatives... It worked!
The following screenshot shows the profit that was made by the new campaigns created the following day, throughout the next 10 days.

He didn’t stop there, and in the day after that, more campaigns were created for the same article, they did pretty well too (to say the least):

Combining all these campaigns, His peak came on November 4th, generating over $10K in profit from that article in a single day!

Now, More than 6 months later, We feel like it’s a good time to show this success story which ended with almost $50k in profit and 190 campaigns.

PubPlus’ affiliate partner program is constantly recruiting affiliates.

I would love to see an example of the "monetized articles" you guys provide. Can you share some?

Can you also show an example of the page(s) that these Ads link to? So where the actual traffic get's sent. Doesn't even have to be one of these that you showed the Ads for, I would just like to see how much Ad heavy the setup is.
Sure sounds AMAZING, but there's some caveats
-you don't get paid weeklies, not even monthlies, you need to usually wait for month to end plus xx days so google adsense (or partners) can review everything, and scrub and claw back what they deem is 'fraud traffic'
-you stand chance of losing a whole chunk of your 'profit' because they might say, oh this traffic sucked we're not paying for it
-facebook gotten way more expensive to make this worthwhile
-facebook introduced policies that don't really like these kind of content arbi clickbaity things
it can work, but def not for newbs, but veterans with cash on hand to float large $$$ if they want to make $xxxx/day profits
hi @pubplus
interesting Read, very detailed, thanks!
from our experiences, contextual Traffic like Native and Social were the predominant channels for drive traffic to content, but now channels Like push notificiaon have (literally) Pushed in and became scalable and highly Performing, while keeping freshness - since they have not been around us much.
this is true for Content sites aiming to an Article on site with different ads, and even more so for Viral content flows that aim to a page and switch between a few pages in their flow, with different monitization on each page (google, native, video, email, CPA, push collection etc etc)
we run this for our own inhouse sites with google video and native, and for large content advertisers with sites, and viral content flows
have you tried it already?
what was your experience?

Pushub Success team
Hi @Pushub_Mark
I agree with you that push has come a long way and can work with content arb.
I imagine getting entertainment articles in push will also result in less unsubscribes as well.
To answer your question: No, we didn't try push in our internal media buying team. but we are open for affiliates to bring traffic from push and test it out.
Thanks for sharing your insights with us. It's always great to hear from someone who actually spends large amounts of cash to get firsthand experience.
