Lets go, lets start learning! by p3kki
First of all I have to say that this section is my favorite at the time I'm writing this because obviously I've just started with AM. I mean every forum has the newbie section but not every forum has these expert members that are literally holding your hand for every single step that you are going trough and giving so much their time to help you with such a HQ answers, so I'd say that only this section is worth $99/month because you would spend god knows how much money learning this on your own, actually maybe it's not even possible. Some people are giving up even if you help them all the time, imagine how would they succeed learning all of this heavy stuff alone.
I wouldn't say that I have exact testing budged, but I have some good amount of money to start testing, I have around $3.2K salary every month so if I run out of money at some point, I would continue next month, so spending some extra $ on tools and stuff is not such a big deal, that is my point. Only goal is to learn fast and get some green campaigns ASAP.
Lets start with what I'v done so far:
Subscribed to STM Forum $99 which is a must, without you guys I wouldn't be able to start. = 1000% ROI
I'v read 40-Day Tutorial and still re-reading some topics and following this guide!
Bought $76 Namecheap - Hosting (Stellar business for 1 year), 1 Domain for Voluum tracking, 1 Domain for AWS.
Subscribed $118 to Voluum (Profit plan).
Subscribed $149 to AdPlexity.
Planning to test LanderLab aswell in next few days.
Added $117 balance to PropellerAds.
I have accounts on these Affiliate Networks so far: Haka, Mobipium, Mobidea. Also member of OGAds and CPAGrip 'cause I did some CPA marketing back in 2010 and I earned around $35 then stopped with IM, but now I'm back.
I have 15 days trial on theoptimizer.io but honestly I don't know what is the purpose of this tool because what I realised is that it gives me kinda same stats as I have on Affiliate Network itself and I've linked Voluum + PropellerAds together. It's a bit confusing so this is kinda my first question in this thread. (I mean I could google what this tool is used for exactly, but I want to know if it's worth subscribing in the begining and is it even important in all of this).
What I actually did until now:
I am using only Haka for now because these guys were online immediately so I tought I'd give them a try first. I asked my manager for best offers they have with lower payouts so they gave me 2 top offers in Revenue with $0.35 payouts.
I created 2 campaigns in Voluum with offers only just to test everything out and kinda get used to it first. Then I setup campaign in PropellerAds and started it with exact settings like in 40-Day tut. So geo was Indonesia with $1.836 (SmartCPM + 20%) I might be wrong with real CPM amount but it was calculated 100% right. So I ran this campaign for like 6 hours just to see if there will be any conversion and I actually got one for $0.35 after 10K visits, so I spent like $6 to test this offer.
For other offer I spent like $4 with same settings as I used on previous one, but stopped it also to do some more research before more testing. What I found out is that it is impossible to make $$$ w/o LP so I stepped into it right away because I have some knowledge regarding Hosting, Web Developing and stuff, not expert tho.
I downloaded LP from AdPlexity, replaced link with my voluum link in index.html and uploaded it on AWS.
Now I am running only 1 Campaign on PropellerAds targeting Indonesia with 3G/LTE connection type, Telkomsel - Mob ISP with distributed delivery method.
I will post results in 1-day, hopefully we can fix some mistakes at least.
That's all about what I've done so far, now I wanna ask some questions!
So I guess it is all about finding the right offer and LP for that offer. What I want to ask you guys is for example if I have this one "top" offer in english, should I test it on every geo that is using english, is it mandatory that offer wouldn't work if it's in english and I'm trying to buy traffic lets say for Spain, how long should I test it and what should I focus on, also what is the next step if I hit campaign with 30% ROI lets say, should I only buy more traffic with same settings and maybe set up 2 more campaigns with same offers but slightly different settings or something?
I know I have a lot of maybe stupid questions but as I said I started few days ago and I really want to try hard on this and I guess this is the only way to do it.
Also I hope that we will make some results in next few weeks/months so I can keep up!
Posting some results soon and thanks in advance for help!

Totally agree with that. I sincerely doubt that there is any other paid resource which will explain AM fundamentals better than Amy (and you get close to real-time response packed with that bundle, super exciting!)

The ones you mentioned are rather disappear pretty quickly - unless you get your shit together and figure out a way to handle your business without hand-holding all the time, later on it will get REALLY hard or impossible to success.

Good. Few k’s to invest is the way to approach this industry.

Cool. All of the tools you listed are the good ones. Be careful with Voluum tho when it comes to the annual plan. Voluum itself gets pricey on higher volume (visits) when doing popups or push (those are the ones that you are focusing on, right?). Give it s shot for the next month or so and then decide on a possible annual plan.

Signing up to the optimizer now, while starting - BAD decision.
Optimizer is a tool that lets you optimize your campaigns by disabling/blacklisting underperforming zones. This is a tool you want to get when you know exactly how to optimize campaigns manually and want to automate this process to test way MORE offers at the same time.
Getting this now is total overkill.
If it comes to Voluum + Propeller integration - this one is used to synchronize costs of the SmartCPM campaigns.
It can also be used by the Voluum’s own optimizer tool called Automizer.

ID is tempting because of enormous available volume but actually it converts like a crap because of that volume itself. You need proper whitelist to approach this geo correctly, otherwise you will just bleed your money.
Check out the recent twinaxe contribution with whitelists, this might be your ticket to money. Focus on geos that the whitelists are available there.

There are no stupid questions and you approached this in a right way by starting follow-along straight off. Many people fail to do so and end up on endless reading state without proper action. And enormous action taken DAILY is the key to success in AM and not only.
Focus on learning not on results and guess what. Results will come.

Thank you plutus for taking your time and answering some of my question, it already open my eyes a bit more. For optimizer that's what I tought at first which is the main reason for not purchasing it at start. I'm definitely gonna check this whitelist tomorrow.
Thank you once again!

Good morning everyone, these are my results from yesterday's campaigns!

So the first one is with Landing Page + Haka (World) offer targeting Indonesia with 0 conversions, obviously missed that one completely but it was random campaign anyways.
Second one in other hand, I am kinda happy with that one since this is my 3rd campaign, I've got 11 conversions there with direct offer, I was kinda surprised when I woke up this morning. In this I chose this offer my self but on Mobidea, I was browsing top offers and I saw that there is more info on every single offer then for example on Haka. You have all info like "Targeting - Countries, Operators, Platforms", almost everything that you need which was easier for me. Altough this direct offer kinda looks like LP maybe that is why I hit 11 conversions, so I think making LP my self wouldn't help getting more conversions but I might try just to test.

Are you 100% sure your lp is working properly?

Hey, glad to see your update. But. First things first.
Please use twinaxe’s way of posting images on this forums.
The way the bulletin image uploader works is kind of stupid (couldn’t find a better word for it).
Mobile devices aren’t displaying those images at all when using native attachment/image uploader.

Can happen, some offers might be already saturated on different GEOs.
Also - like diplomat mentioned above, did your lp was set correctly?
You can say that it works if you get visits AND clicks in your tracker.
Another thing that might be the issue here is the fact that Haka offers are converting better when direct linking.

Congrats! Seeing conversions flowing brings much satisfaction.
If it comes to the lp - you are right. Some offers are prepared in a way that the landing page itself is based on the best working variants from the spytools.
If you see offer with spinning wheel or giftboxes, always give it a shot direct linking.
Another thing you might want to consider on converting direct linked offers is deconstructing that lander on paper or google docs, by analyzing each part and asking yourself:
1. Why that part is in that place?
2. Why was that layout/copy used?
3. How user FEELS when seeing the lander?
4. What’s the REASON that user use to justify his action (clicking CTA + converting)
Of course this puts a bit of backlog on your journey and it’s not necessary, but trust me, it will pay off later on.
To get even better understanding on human sales psychology grab a copy of Cashverising by E.Whitman.
This can be your blueprint when analyzing lps.
Your progress looks great so far, keep us updated

I read here that you can't earn big if you direct linking offers, is it true or am I missing something?

Hey p3kki, welcome in board.
I'd say that only this section is worth $99/month because you would spend god knows how much money learning this on your own
I also think it´s a good compromise, on ine hand you can receive help and support from experienced affiliates but on the other hand you don´t get broke from high costs for "guru coaching" or so
Bought $76 Namecheap - Hosting (Stellar business for 1 year)
This isn´t the best choice.
It´s shared hosting, that means that you host your stuff on a server together with many other people and this can be a killer for the performance.
You don´t need that strong hosting when you have a cloud hosted tracker like
Voluum but a VPS should be the minimum to use.
You can get pretty cheap VPS on Digital Ocean.
I have 15 days trial on theoptimizer.io but honestly I don't know what is the purpose of this tool because what I realised is that it gives me kinda same stats as I have on Affiliate Network itself and I've linked

You don´t need it yet.
Optimizer is a great tool to pause placements, campaigns and creatives by automation rules.
It´s really helpful when you are running many campaigns but to really use it you first need working campaigns.
I am using only Haka for now because these guys were online immediately so I tought I'd give them a try first. I asked my manager for best offers they have with lower payouts so they gave me 2 top offers in Revenue with $0.35 payouts.

Did you create 2 campaigns for these two offers?
If yes, you don´t need to.
You can run them both direct linked in the same campaign.
I read here that you can't earn big if you direct linking offers, is it true or am I missing something?
It´s mostly true but there are exceptions as you can see in the thread I linked above

I was so happy when I saw you posted in my thread, once again with such a HQ post.
This guide you linked for HAKA is pure goldmine, it seems so easy when you read it, I know it's nowhere near that, but hey I have to work for it I get it!
So I'll definitely try that out and take your advices here. Will keep this thread updated when I make some moves.
Thanks once again!

Thank you for your kind words, that means a lot for me

Unluckily it's no "spend money - make guaranteed profit" kind of stuff.
But the offers are very good, you can run it direct linked and they accept traffic from so many geos.
Also good is that the offers (often) also work on WiFi traffic.
