Any recommendations on where to start?

Have been in eCom for about 2-3 years and got sick of FB account bans. Have managed to get Google Shopping campaigns to 500$ a day net prof. but issues with PayPal and Google being weird with bans makes me see affiliate as alternative. For someone with decent copywriting and programming background + money to play around with what is best way to start with affiliate in 2020. Understand it is not easy and willing to put in time.

Since you have years of experience with running campaigns, I doubt you would want to start with the very basic combo such as POP or PUSh traffic and simple sweepstake offers. To utilize your copywriting skills, I would look at something more advanced ... clean leadgen, info products or viral content and arbitrage would be my recomendations... and since you have the money to play with, I'd focus on native traffic.

Here are some threads related to what I mentioned:

Native arbitrage: https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...igns-on-Native
Viral content: https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...t-monetization
Clean leadgen: https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...ffer-with-Push
Online education is also booming now, we have one such network posting on the forum, check it: https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...onential-rates

BTW, welcome to the forum

Like @matuloo, I would also recommend native.

I'm curious though - if you wouldn't mind divulging the general niche of what you're selling on ecom that has gotten even google accounts banned? If it's a super-secretive niche then please forgive and ignore the question.

How many accounts did you get banned on FB and Google respectively?

TIA!

@matuloo thanks for super straight to point answer! @vortex Original store was general store and "edge" I guess was I never used ePacket, so customers would have 60ish day shipping times and within a month of FB adding page scores got banned. Can circumvent FB pretty easily for eCom but atm basic dropshipping is dominated by Chinese advertisers and bans were becoming more frequent so jumped ship. Only been banned once randomly by Google shopping, and managed to get back to 500$ prof. but issue here is more with PayPal.

If shipping time is the issue, consider checking out udroppy and/or FBA (if that's an option in your country).

Paypal issues: I'm assuming this was caused by the number of chargebacks? Were they caused by the same long shipping time? If so, seems to me you can kill two birds with one stone.

I know exploring additional traffic sources can be exciting, AND it would be wise to do so anyways in order to spread out the risks (by not putting all your eggs in one basket in case of bans), but all traffic sources have their own "issues" that need to be resolved. So it may be beneficial to try to resolve existing issues first so you can get traffic from sources you have experience with, while scaling to new sources.

Also: Improving customer satisfaction can have more benefits than just keeping FB and paypal happy. You may be able to sell them additional products for example - which would be free money practically, as you've already paid money when you acquired those customers the first time.

Just another option to consider!
