Offline Conference in Moscow, October 27 - Yea or Nay?
Hi guys! You might know that in a month offline event for affiliate marketerswill happen in Moscow - Moscow Affiliate Conference. Do you think it will happen and won't get postponed second time (annually it's held in April)? Would you attend?
I still think that offline meetups dominates over online, so I'd choose to take the risk and go there. But as it's getting colder in Russia and the flu season already started , the number of people with respiratory disease is growing fast which lead to COVID-19 cases increase - Screenshot - 919d1880e7ff7eddd3216fd553bee71b - Gyazo . So by the end of October it might get even worse unfortunatel.
So, would you go to Moscow or skip this year? Or you'd be happy to meet everyone online while Ad World ?

It already got postponed a second time.
Originally it would have been in April, then it got postponed to August, then it got postponed to October.
Of course I would go and I still have my ticket since February but right now there are no flights from here to Moscow.

Not for me. I was planning to go to the affiliate event in Brazil in December if the situation kept improving in the southern hemisphere, but they postponed it. Maybe Affiliate West in Vegas next February and Affiliate Europe in July.
Meanwhile the online events, starting with AWS summit today :-)

I don't think it makes much sense to attend any conference this year, even if some might be held, there will be way less attendees than usually. Flights are limited, people are afraid to travel, there are limitations in place that will make proper networking impossible... I'm just holding my fingers crossed for this Corona situation to get controlled by a vaccine or some medication in the coming months, so we can all meet again in 2021.

thank you guys for your responses! I do agree with matuloo that number of affiliates will be not that high as usual, but maybe it's a chance for all Russian local affiliates to team up a bit?
despite all the risks I would go and I'd be happy to try new and safe discussion format - the mask one

Indeed, I'm really starting to miss the interaction... we are entering the second round of "soft" lockdown in my country, I'm really starting to have enough, they just closed all pubs and restaurants this week, time for another round of home-office'ing
