First conversion!
Got my first conversion from a voucher yesterday. Tracker didn't show it, prob bc click loss but my affiliate network did

Been following @vortex 40 day guide
ROI is -90% but will keep testing more to see how I can bring that up and get profitable

Congratulations @classic! You'll go on to make numerous conversions, but this first one will always hold a special place in your heart.
Click loss will not result in conversions not being shown in the tracker. If you like, please feel free to do some troubleshooting with me. I'd need to see 3 things:
1)Your original affiliate link.
2)The revised aff link you added to the tracker as an offer.
3)The revised postback you've inserted into the affiliate network.
To protect your privacy (which is recommended), you can change some of the digits in the links. I only really need to see the tracking tokens/parameters/variables.
Also: If the -90% ROI persists, I would suggest to stop running the campaign. It would be extremely inefficient to optimize a pop campaign from such a low ROI to positive. Chances are you'd be spending a ton of money on cutting a ton of stuff (placements etc.), that when (IF!) you finally get profitable you'd be making pennies a day - not enough to recoup your losses.
Instead, try to test lots of offers until you get close to -50% ROI or better, BEFORE optimization, then optimize from there. This is an approximate figure of course, and for the most competitive and highest-volume countries like the US you may need to optimize from lower ROI the first time to identify good and bad placements, but the -50% will serve as a good rule of thumb before you acquire enough experience to exercise your own judgment.
Also check out @twinaxe's thread here - it would be a good thing to move onto after you've finished the 40-day tutorial:
https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...Direct-Linking
It's recent and it works - I'd jump on that before it becomes saturated.

Got it, I'll look for more offers. I've tested about 6-7 over the past 2 weeks (I know it isn't enough) but this is the first one that's gotten a few conversions.

How much should I spend before optimization? So far on for this offer I've spent $30 and got 2 conversions.

@classic Hearty congratulations! You will remember it at all times. My first is also embedded in my mind.
Again, mine was the hard way of learning like you and many many others.
All the best!

The problem is obvious: There is no tracking token at the end of your offer link, and the postback link needs to reflect the same token as well.
Which affiliate network are you with? Can you show a screenshot of your affiliate offer within the affiliate network interface? If I have an account on the same network I can give you detailed instructions.

If you're testing direct-linked campaigns, 6-7 would be more than enough.
I'd suggesting moving onto the lessons on landing pages.
And don't worry - you'll get used to testing lots and lots of offers. At first we all feel uncomfortable throwing money at the wall to see what would stick. Try to set a weekly/monthly test budget and
write it off in your mind as a loss or as tuition, without expecting to make any revenue. Then aim to spend this money as efficiently as possible. This kind of mindset will maximize your chances of success, as it will take away your fear of losing money, and once that fear is gone you can focus on learning and thinking.
And if you keep learning, thinking, and testing, you WILL succeed eventually. This isn't only true in affiliate marketing, but for anything else in general.

Please read the lessons on optimization - I go into detail on that topic.

Sorry for the delay of a few days, appreciate your response.
I'm running offers on Admobo and Fluent. Here's a screenshot from my admobo offer
re landers: Have ran most my offers with landers actually, ended up getting a few conversions on a US sweeps but testing other geos mainly.
Greatly appreciate your feedback and guide

Ah Admobo! OK. One more request: Could you please go to the page where you pasted the postback url, find the list of tokens available, and screenshot them here for me?
Using landers - that's great! US is a good geo - it just requires testing a lot more offers and landers (coming up with new lander ideas will help), and investing a lot more money into cutting placements. The process is pretty much the same as for other geos, except it requires more work and budget.
But let's fix the postback first so you're not wasting money collecting data that won't tell you anything!

Not sure if I ever placed a postback, never knew what to do with it. That would explain my tracking problems...
Here's the postbacks in my admobo account:
Here's the list of tokens available on Binom:

Thanks for the information!
When you log into Admobo and go to the place where you add the postback, do you see any postback tokens listed on the same page?
If not, please ask your AM for a list of postback tokens. I don't seem to have anyone from Admobo on skype - otherwise I would ask them directly. Thanks so much!

Yup that's EXACTLY what I was looking for! Thanks!
Darn - I just realized I need one more thing from you: Could you please show me a screenshot of the tracking tokens Admobo has for their OFFER LINK?
Sorry I forgot to ask before!

I'm talking about the tracking tokens they have available to adding to their offer links.
Could you please PM me with your AM's skype, if they wouldn't mind my contacting them directly? Please let me know here when you've PM'ed - I don't usually check those.
Once I get that information we'll be able to figure everything out.

Alright I got an instantaneous response from Admobo!
We use &aff_click_id= in tracking link for clickid, {aff_click_id} in postback for clickid, &source= in tracking link for sub-source, {source} in postback. {payout} for payout amount in postback.
OK let's finally do this!
1)Let's say this was your affiliate link that you got from the network:
https://afflink.com/aff_c?offer_id=1077286&aff_id=1881
Add tracking tokens to make it look like this:
https://afflink.com/aff_c?offer_id=1077286&aff_id=1881&aff_click_id={c lickid}&source={trafficsource}
Put this link into
Binom when you create your offer there.
2)Let's say this was your original
Binom postback:
http://postback.zeroredirect1.com/zppostback/c99u25a1-ba4a-11ea-b90c-12e6dcaa70ed?cid={externalid}&payout={payout}
Modify it as follows and give it to your Admobo AM to implement as the global postback (you only need to do this once - all other offers you run with this network will post back to the same link):
http://postback.zeroredirect1.com/zppostback/c99u25a1-ba4a-11ea-b90c-12e6dcaa70ed?cid={aff_click_id}&payout={payout}
3)Create the campaign in Binom (if you already have, you'll need to copy the campaign url AGAIN and overwrite the campaign url you've previously pasted into the traffic source, because it will be different now that you've made changes).
After you've set this up, do two things to verify that tracking works:
a)This will only work if your offer accepts wifi traffic: Set your VPN to the offer's target geo and browse to the tracker campaign url, and click through to the offer to make sure you can reach the right offer.
b)Ask your Admobo AM to fire a test conversion. If this shows up in binom successfully, then you're all set!
Any further questions, let me know and we'll sort it out!
