Dating Follow Along on Sitescout!

I'm pretty new to media buying but after talking to some people at ASW about it I figured it's time to really get it working.

I created a campaign on Sitescout targeting 1 site in the US, it's a social chat type of site so I figured it would be decent for dating. I've created a bunch of different creatives for the 3 sizes the site accepts.

I'm using the same style of a landing page I run on POF that does well.

Offer: Benaughty (split testing 3 offer pages)
Bid: Winning @ .88CPM (bidding 1.5)
Clicks: 425
eCPC: .38
Banner CTR: .23%
LP CTR: 42%
Spend: $160
Revenue: $76
(This is 2 days of data: 1/12-1/13)



So far I've found that most of the lower CTR banners are the ones getting the most conversions.



I was thinking the main things that could be holding the campaign back are: the website, offer, landing page, banners.

What should be tested first? I'm going to split test a direct link since I haven't tried that yet. Is a 44% CTR on lander decent for dating media buys? What about .2-.5% banner CTR?

Most of my dating lps get around 70-80 LP click thru.. especially on pof ive seen even higher

Wow that's crazy, alright so I'll start testing new landers then. Right now my landing page conversion rate is only at about 10-12% so I need to get that a bit higher as well.

Anything I should/shouldn't be doing? Like I said this style usually works well for me on POF so figured it'd be good here too.

My only suggestion with dating + display .....its really about the banner....and more specifically the girl.....and the CTA.....those 2 things is what changes the CVR the most ......some girls just convert better...its odd cuz its not always the ones with the big titties...but I have tested the exact same copy and cta with dif girls and you can get crazy dif results.....

I would just test one size and jam a shit ton of girls in there on rotation....then once you have a few girls you know that work well...work on the CTA/copy....

Awesome results, I'll start focusing on banners. I noticed how some banners give my LP ctr insane increases compared to others.

The other thing is I'll probably be making my future campaigns without tracking and just go with the sitescout tracker instead. I think that'll make it a hell of a lot easier to compare which creatives are doing best. Going back and forth from cpvlab is beginning to be a pain in the ass.
