Dirty cheap B2B leads for your DTC brand
Yooooo!
A few days ago I found a cool way to boost my cold-emailing strategy to generate hot-leads from offline retailers for our DTC brand Black Fire.
This is actually just an upgrade of the hack I shared a few months ago in this thread.
To describe the approach I will take as an example hunting market in France. In total there is around 1500 hunting stores in whole country.
1. Build a database
Follow the steps described in this thread.
2. Upload database on Facebook
Even if you get Audience Is Too Small After Matching notification after you upload the file it doesn't matter. You can still target this audience.
3. Create FB campaign with objective Messages
Create new FB Messages campaign and select the audience from step 2.
4. Use UGC from B2B customers
I'm using photos that I received from our existing stores. See bonus tip2 at the bottom.

Text is of course also adjusted to the target audience.
How to get returning customers immediately even if you don’t do advertising?
Simple!
82% of hunting stores sell their first Black Fire order in less than a month!
Get in touch and we will give you the best possible prices and free tips on how to attract new customers into your hunting store.
Black Fire will help you get more customers that will keep coming back into your store.
5. Edit Messenger intro text
By default Messenger ads have a generic text for ads. When user clicks the ad is redirected to Messages and there is greetings message and 3 pre-defined options for users.
Make sure to translate this and change the text.
I have three options:
1) Send me B2B price-list.
2) Send me more info about your products.
3) I'm not a hunting store owner.
##################
Here are my results.
eCPL was a bit higher because 3 out 11 leads selected
I'm not a hunting store owner. Anyway, we closed 4 were already and we are waiting for the pre-payment.
The main challenge I see here is frequency because the audiences are small but at least you are showing ads to users that has potential for crazy high LTV:
Have a great weekend ahead and stay safe.
Cheers,
wakeboarder
Bonus tip: If you have B2B sub-page on your shop make an audience and target this audience the same as described above. Leads are even cheaper.
Bonus tip2: To get photos from B2B customers I have a simple autoresponder sequence where I'm asking for a photo because I will use this for to promote their store on social media.
