Pushing to $100k

Hey guys!

I have been thinking about starting a new follow along for a while. Why you might ask... Well, that's because the learning process never ends, and I wanted to test my experience that I have gathered, and I hope this journey will help someone with their struggles.

After visiting a speech at AWA by Anthony Sarandrea (https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...hony-Sarandrea), sitting in the front row, I started thinking a bit. I have run hundreds of campaigns, and I have most of my visitors (I still collect push subscribers), but I have never actually tried building my email list and or built a sustainable system. So this is what my journey is all about.

My goal is to build an extensive enough email list and make at least $100k revenue by the end of this year ONLY using this list.

I will do my best to update this thread as frequently as possible, and this journey will end on 1st January 2021 00:00 or when $100k is reached.

As always, all advice is welcome, and if you have any questions, please do ask them, and I will do my best to answer them.

Nice! I was struck by the same speech, and am thinking over the exact same stuff...

Very much look forward to the follow-along!

What traffic sources are you going to be using to build the email list?

Thanks man. I will be setting up my first campaigns tomorrow and get this bad boy started.

I will be using my favorite sources: Zeropark, Adsterra, PropellerAds, AdMaven, Evadav, Pushground

That was a phenomenal presentation by Anthony and very timely for where this industry seems to be headed.

Sounds like you're using push? What type of offers are you trying to build lists with? I think it's going to be hard to build up lists and make progress with offers that give customers a poor experience.

Maybe you can some extra margin to stay competitive vs others not doing it, but if your goal is really to build a sustainable business you'd probably have an easier time working with the type of offers that run on bigger traffic sources like FB, google, native, & email specifically. Taking a winning campaign there and then seeing if you could start adding in email capture while still making money on the front-end would be a good spot to start learning from.

Oh no, I’m not planning to build a sustainable business out of it, no need for that.. more like a sustainable list. I will be using push to get the ball rolling, but I don’t limit myself to push only. I want to learn more about leadgen in general and to get better at emailing.

This sounds like the same thing. Perhaps it's just semantics. If you're using the same list to send different offers expecting them to convert, and they do, then effectively it's a sustainable business. I would think your email list becomes essentially a "look-alike" audience, to use FB speak. Even better, just like in FB, once that audience has engaged with you, it will cost you next to nothing, or actually nothing with emails, to send offers to them.

Also, I think that's what @thedudeabides was pointing to. A crappy experience will have your list sending the email to their junk folder or unsubscribing. So, perhaps you should be selective of your offers.

I'm still learning, so slap me down like the newbie that I am. Curious to see your progress. Good luck!

Building an email list using pops and push?

Hmm.. It depends on how you define it. I don't have to build a sustainable business because I have a few of them. I don't have to make profits from this journey, but I'm taking it as seriously as possible otherwise I just set up myself for failure.

Yes, I will put the focus on picking offers and the way I'm promoting them (quite whitehat). I will do my best to keep the list as healthy as possible. I will be tagging a lot so I can use them to promote all kinds of offers and build a profile of a subscriber.

I will be setting up my first offer today so we will see how it goes. The first results should come in today already.

I'm so guilty of not building my audiences too... it's all about the simple approach for me, banner->LP->offer and that's it.

Following this thread for sure, I'm sure I will learn a lot from it too
