Facebook WH Leadgen in 2020 - How make it work with profit

Hey guys, I am glad to get back to a normal routine days after holidays. I am glad cause I had some issues with sales and traffic cost in November (because on Black Friday sales) and in December (Christmas sales). My CPM went up to $50-$70. Which is insane. Some STM members showed me their CPM stats of >$100. So I had to decrease my volumes to hundreds of dollars. I was frustrated cause it was my first year running WH leadgen and I didn’t know whether it would back to normal from Jan 2020.

I re-activated my campaigns on Jan, 2nd. CPM became $10-$17, max $23, cpc $0,30-$0,80 as before.

account 1

and another account stats

What did I do?
Well I have changed not a lot from my old approach - check it here
https://stmforum.com/forum/showthread.php?45939-From-the-dark-%26%238594%3B-WHITE-side-How-did-start-to-run-WH-303-000-mo-revenue-on-Facebook/page2

Also, I created a few brand new angles focusing on some narrow audiences, using interests, age, locations, etc.

Optimization
I’ve discovered my old approach of optimization does work even more effectively - you may get CPL results every 30 min and turn ON/OFF your campaign and save your daily budget. It very important. I am glad Fb became more precise with its stats.

Scaling
I’ve also discovered my old strategy of scaling doesn’t work. Now I need to create new campaigns instead of duplicating ‘em. I don’t know why but duplicated campaigns got 2x higher CPL in comparison with newly created ones 🤷🏻*♂️
So I am creating new campaigns with a lil bit higher budget and increase the budget a few times a day, sometimes every 3 hours or more often. But I am adding not more than 70% of the current budget.

Additional tips
I stater to use a comment cleaner tool again to hide all incoming comments. My angles are characterized by gathering a lot of recommendations not to buy the service I am promoting. So the absence of comments helps every person to judge by himself/herself to follow the link or not. Otherwise - people just copying other’s opinions when it sounds reasonable.
The link for our tool - https://fbcommentscleaner.com/

So, I hope I will scale shortly to 500k revenue/month as in 2019. Wish me good luck.

P.S. ask me more specific questions, I am ready to help, but not like ‘how to start running WH leadgen’, I won’t answer such questions.

Great stuff!

Question for you...

With your campaigns, for the "Conversion Event" are you optimizing for conversions on the offer itself? In otherwords, the advertiser placed your pixel on the conversion page (the page that when people land on it, you get paid)... and you're optimizing your campaigns for that?

Or are you optimizing for say people clicking through on your prelander?

thanks again!!

running WH leadgen
Hey Cassshy,

Can I ask which vertical are you running? FB seems don't like affiliate. Do you often encounter the account banning issues?

Are you making creatives by yourself or you have a team to make creatives for you?

Thanks.

Awesome work. And stats, as usual.

I like the idea of a comments cleaner, comments are the biggest pain in the ass with FB. Having no comments can definitely affect CPC, but not nearly as bad as negative comments.

How does the cleaner work? What's the catch?

Good results!
It is necessary to take into account that before the new year all large companies begin to spend multi-million budgets. After the new year, no one is spent and I, for example, the price for the lead was 1-2$, and CPM 1$ for the country Portugal

What software are you using for tracking your stats (the screenshots in your linked thread that shows profit)? I've been out of the game for awhile focusing on SEO.

I am using one fresh domain for all the ad accounts. Yes, sometimes I got banned when using MX accounts with US cards. But using US accounts, US geo and US payment method is a key. I am using US rentals. Using them you easily spend 100k-200k w/o bans.
Yes, I am using spy tools for inspiration and create my own creatives

Can you share your flow ?

Adclick -> preland -> landing page with offer -> thank you page (pixel fires here), right?
can you recommend any spy tools ? and if you are using preland, are you making it to look like blog?
Thank you

Have you tried other optimization methods for example - "initial checkout"? I wonder how it works.

Most people just do it manually.

Since IOS14.5 update, the costs have shot up like crazy. The dust still did not settle. We have paused FB fully until the dust settles.

there's no such funnel step in leadgen

optionally, some of them are 100% same. Some of them have different targeting. It's about fb to provide you the right audience. If fb hooked you up with the right audience you can be profitable from day 1. So I have so many camps to find the good audience

Do you use the existing post ID's or do you just create the ad again from scratch?

Man, you need to understand fb implement changes almost every day these days. It's hard to track & post about such details
