I´m looking for some monetization ideas for my campaign, hope I can get some help thinking this through.
I posted a few weeks ago about my first FB ad campaign, it´s still running and working, but I´m not monetizing it (yet). Why? Because I´m patient :-) I build up over 2000 loyal fans, with a constant 40% "people talking about". It´s something related to a dog niche. I have about 300 email subscribers. I have a nice email sequence setup (took out all affiliate links which I initially had included).
My original plan was: build up fans, engage them, get them loyal and then start offering them "something". I think I got to "something" now. I do not want to loose the engagement by commercializing it too soon or too much. Any suggestions where best to go from here?
1. Have ads on the blog behind it with offers (merchandise stuff) and send people there from the wall
2. Start sending an email with an offer to the small list to test out
3. Any suggestions whether there are any affiliate offers for the dog niche. I haven´t promoted any affiliate offers lately, except for Clickbank.
Would love to hear some opinions. Thanks.
classical dog niche would be to start a weekly "cutest puppy" or whatever contest and send them to a pet contest offer where they can upload their pic. Every week the cutest puppy gets their picture as the pic of the fanpage. This was big a couple of months ago ... although there are still people doing it. I would put a twist to it, since the FB ad team is aware of the "strategy".
I've sent you an example per PM, don't wanna be outing people's campaigns
Clickbank has a TON of dog products. Dog training, potty training, etc. There's also the odd pet insurance and pet-related zip/email submit around (usually for petsmart).

Hit me up for the offer if you want to run something similar. Its a CPA not CPS.
There is a cutest pet contest CPA offer around that converted pretty well for me.
The other thing that I think works well is amazon. The benefit of Amazon is that they are well integrated with Facebook and all you need to do is copy & paste a link onto your wall. Nobody has ever complained about an amazon link ever on any of my fanpages. The commission seems small starting at 4% but it's not that hard to get to 8%, and that is of everything the person buys. My thinking on posting amazon links is that I am not even that concerned if the person buys the actual item or not. I just want to get the click and hope they buy something.
The average commission per sale is $1.30 -$1.40 and that is over a pretty big sample. About the same as the average CPA offer with no risk and no complaints.
I have a few Dog fan pages on FB and I monetize them with Doggy loot, dog food email submits and Great American photo contest. I tried Amazon products and click bank products but the CPA offers out performed them by a mile.
Thanks to all for the suggestions, forgot to mention the stuff I¨m doing is in spanish. But I got some inspiration and ideas from your posts.
If anybody knows of good spanish offers for Spain or South America, would be great to hear too.
Thanks and woof.
