Hey guys,
Just seeing what programs people are using for their landing pages and how good it is or not. So far i've used a template from one of the posts on here which is great but i wanna try making some of my own.
What do people think of Dreamweaver, WYSIWYG, etc?
ALSO, i read somewhere that for LI we need a landing page no larger than 750 x 450 pixels however one of the sample landing pages one of the adins posted on here (i forget who) was full page sized (whole page background was same colour), whats the go here?
That's all for now, thanks!
www.WYSIWYGWebBuilder.com for really easy LP creation.
To test and see your LP when it's popped, use Besmir's pop up previewer: http://affexpert.com/tools/popper.php (Click the STM Login and use your forum user/pass to get in)
What I recommend though, to cut your time down is to start spying by installing iFreeTV(it's LI's install that pops a shit load of pops) and Gamevance on a VPS or if you're on a MAC run parallels and get Windows XP up on it and install those two. Then spy on the targets you're looking to bid on and see what the top LPs are doing.
From there, you can see what's working and tailor your LPs accordingly.
Hey man, the most simple method to pull up a lander would be to first make it in photoshop, flatten your layers, slice them with the slice tool and export it as a html file.
This way you pretty much everything available for hyperlinking and what not, the downside to this method is that you have to create new images if you want to test different headers.
This is just a fast and simple solution for whoever is struggling to find coders or do coding themselves.
If I am not direct linking Ill photoshop the lander, add some dot points, add a CLICK HERE and away we go
i use microsoft front page and snag it.
I usually do a mix of what Kapie said (design in PS then slice) and regular code.
So I'll make the basic layout in PS, but I'll hide any plain text layer and then just code them regularly in dreamweaver. I do this cause testing regular text is just easier for me, and every time I use PS for text, it always comes out looking faded, and the more I increase the quality of that text layer when saving, the larger the file size goes.
I don't know if there's a setting I using that's making them look faded, or if there isn't one I'm using that would make it look crisp with out increasing the file size... but for now that's how I do it.
Thanks for the insight everyone! I've decided to go with WYSIWYG for now as they've got a free 30 day trial and so far i've made one kickass LP using it and its been easy to upload and everything. Very good for peops like me who only know the basics of HTML and webdesign and creation.
