SSL Certificate

Hey guys,

Do i need an SSL cert for my...

CPV Lab Domain?
The domain my landing pages are hosted on?
Or Both?

Any other advice to keep my campaigns nice and safe and secure?

You generally will need a SSL cert on your CPVLab domain .

This is needed when you need to place a pixel and the advertiser supports only secure pixels (https ).

You can use it too to wipe referrers but it will slow down redirects.

How long have you had it for, is there any catch? Most other places charge at least $50+

no catch, it was posted on this forum a couple months back, there's different kinds of SSL certs, you should never spend more than $10, but why even do that when you can get it for free? It also allows you to register subdomains as long as you have the main domain (so you can get tracking.domain.com if you have domain.com).

I've tested it and my https pixel works after I plugged it into EWA (who require a https pixel)

Is it possible to transfer them from namecheap? I have a bunch I don't even use (the ones that came free with domains) so would gladly dish out some if possible.

Does the SSL cert slow down the pass through? Page speed?

Also can you do postback URLs as opposed to pixel firing and avoid the SSL cert?

Depends on the network, some require SSL for any kind of back-end tracking.
