What Can you Run on Admob ?

So they retro disapproved some of people dating camps, right ? at least mine :-)
Now I'm trying a simple iPad Sweepstakes, I think 'You win an iPad' obviously is disapproved, but even 'You may win an iPad' can't get thru (it may be the lander) !!
So what is possible to get approved, I know gift cards work... what else ?
thx
Stef

As a rule of thumb, if you can run it on AdWords you can run it on Admob. Promo and dating offers are a no go - although dating lead gen's should be okay. PIN submits is the problem due to billing methods that is seen as "scammy" by Google.

thanx, this is it.... also reading the guidelines again, everything with some kind of subscriptions needs full price displayed, small disclaimer at the bottom will not do....

You aren't going to be able to get anything thru Apple related. I think google views it as a trademark issue with Apple - that's been my experience.

anything lead generation related... make sure THE LANDER HAS A PRIVACY POLICY.

or an account runs risk of getting suspended and BANNED without notice, under their INFORMATION HARVESTING policy.

This was disapproved also, Content Guidelines violation not sure why !?

It seems like almost every ad I submit (no matter what it is for) is getting disapproved lately. It would be nice if Admob would tell you the specific reason why the ads are disapproved, rather than the extremely vague "Content guidelines violation" or "Misleading ad text, image, and/or URL".

Is anyone able to get anything approved???

Yeah, just bait and switch after approval.

But what do you bait them with? =)

Every single time I try uploading an ad I get the "Misleading ad text, image, and/or URL". I have made all kinds of fake sites just to see if I can get anything approved but haven't had a single ad go through for any offer.

I was approved on prepaid cards, payday loans.

dudeman, can you give us any more insight as to what you are doing to get ads approved?

I have been submitting stupid shit that I have no intentions of running just to see if they will approve it.

examples:

ads that say something like: "Get Coupons" and link to coupons.com
ads that say "Enter to Win" and link to pch.com

I figured they would approve the above ads...but no such luck. They are disapproving EVERYTHING!

I've tried payday loans/cash advance ads and was disapproved. What types of ads did you use? I used ads such as:

Get up to $1500 Today
Need $1500?
etc...

Payday loans are frowned upon - almost everywhere. Don't run it unless you can cloack to a real bank loan.

I submitted a rotator with 5 different LPs for free tips on fat loss a month ago. Haven't heard from them at all, nothing...

Has anybody run campaigns on Admob recently? The only ad targetting allowed now is for app promotion. No click to URL / Click to call options anymore. Is there a contact on Admob that anyone has, the only help I got was the posted standard guides. Thinking of asking for a refund... Appreciate any help guys.

@santa_cruz

You need to promote mobile web on Adwords now, Admob now is solely for promoting apps. All non-app type of traffic must utilize Adwords directly.
