FB - title: "getting back on track" - TAKE 2... and ACTION!

Hey guys.

In the past i had some succes with fb doing $500+ profit a day, untill they banned my ass. That was 5 month ago or so.

I have created a new account and this follow along is to give me and others some motivation to get back on track!

Sooo

i'm starting this follow along with a gaming offer i had succes with in the past:

Wizard101

I'm rotating this offer from multiple networks. average payout is 1.15 without payout bump.

My approach:

Coming up with 2 angles
Target females
Target keywords matching the angle
Split test ages : 12-17 / 18-24 / 25-34 - each in a separate campaign
upload +- 50 images with 2 different titles so that are +-100 ads in total for each angle.

So far i came up with one angle and got 3 campaigns up. i did a quick test on the 18-24 campaign and i was seeing 0.17 EPC. so that looks promising without optimizing.

I'll post more results soon!

So i have à little update:

I have been testing one campaign, but i have a traffic issue.
I have a brand new account, only €50 daily spend. I'm targeting 3M users, bidding even a little bit higher than suggested, set my campaign budget on €200 and traffic just sucks, no volume at all, even with high ctr ads. I know if i did this with my old account my budget would be gone in 10 minutes or less. I hope this is because of xmas and it'l get back to normal soon.

Anyway besides this, with this one campaign i'm testing i see some ads have potentional ctr/cvr wise, just need to test the rest of the ads to get rid of the bad ads now.

Oh and i also made a LP to test later..

ya if its USA traffic the price you have to bid just to get traffic I high...I have been starting bids in the 80c range just to get traffic....course its depends on the demo...but the bids are a bit wack.....

I would also be careful with that 12-17 demo unless your mixing traffic....

Hey guys, so far i only tested one campaing with the 12-17 demo. and it did not really work out. tested 100+ images and titles. DL vs LP and it did not work out.

spend: 320
revenue: 120
loss: 200

testing the other demo's now

Hey guys.

before i move on, one network gave me the best results, and they bumped me. the payout now is 1.45. (dont look at prosper payout)

I have been testing the 1824 demo and here are the results:

EPC's are looking much better than the previous campaign.
This ad, W101_H_F1217_55, had a nice steady .40 EPC , but it tanked during the last 2 conversions

BUT ofcourse, the ads are not having the CTR i wish for.

Yesterday FB stats:

Today's FB stats so far:

What i don't really get is why ad 55 won't go lower than 30 cents? the other ads with lower CTR are getting lower than 30 cents.

So at this point i will keep testing the remaining ads in the campaign. When i'm done with that i'll try to improve the ads to achieve higher CTR, and also upload each exact same ad 5 times to get the best placement like polarbacon explained here on the forums a while ago.

I spend $64
Reveneu: $35,25
Loss: 27,75

Feedback is more than welcome!

You're not going to get costs going lower then 30 cents with only 67 clicks.

Let ad 16 and ad 55 run for longer.

Once they're over ~200 you can drop the price a little and the ad price should start dropping.

First of all, happy new year guys, hope you all find success this year!

----
Soo guys another update.

This wizard offers can be pushed in multiple countries. So i have uploaded campaigns for each of these countries in the meantime.
The usa campaign was still not backing out, and my canada ads were approved so i wanted to test those too.
And it looks pretty good guys, cpc is lower and the ctr of the ads are higher, and epc's too!

So first day i ran in CA - 12/30

prosper stats:

FB sats: currency is in EURO not DOLLARS!

Spend: $226,92
Reveneu: $276,95
Profit: $50,03

As you can see i have 3 good ads on the top with steady ~30 EPC
The others have not proven them self yet at this point so i let them run.

at this point 1 euro is 1,29 dollar.
CPC in dollars are:
ad33 - 0,19
ad 28 - 0,22
ad 21 - 0,26
ad 31 - 0,22
ad35 - 0,28
etc.

Top 3 ads are already profitable. ad 31 has lower EPC but high CTR. but i made the decision to only focus on the top 3 ads for now.
Now we need to go for lower CPC for more profits.

day 2 - 12/31

prosper stats:

fb stats:

spend: 155,27
revenue: 211,70
profit: 56,43

I did not had time to focus on this campaign this day because we had a party going on here.
But i dropped the bids of the 3 ads, and just let it run.

As you can see CTR tanked a bid. CPC stayed the same.

Today i'm letting this campaign run. lets see how it goes!

[edit: i forgot to update conversions for 12/31 - fixed now!]

Nice job - INTL clicks (other than US) are Typically cheaper if you aren't using KWs. As polarbacon said though, make sure you are mixing in higher demo traffic which it looks like you are or you will get optimized these type of offers fast

Thanks,

in the meantime i have had some 300+ profit days with this campaign. It's on pause now because CTR and CVR were tanking..
