I wanted to post and see if anyone has tried running Media Buys to content gateway sites?

Specifically, I am referring to this post by Mr Green http://www.mrgreen.am/make-money/a-2...ying-campaign/

Has anyone been able to make it work? If so, what sort of content should be included on the landing pages. Movies, torrents? I understand how to buy media from sitescout but just not sure how to go about scaling this to $2-3k profit per day. Any help from people who have tried this would be great.

Haven't seen too many of these floating around inside WhatRunsWhere, but then again, I'm not looking for them really (never ran them personally in the past). I personally see this kind of thing as a fast cash method you could use with big upcoming sports games/events, promise a exclusive thing behind a gateway wall, and get it out there using the same method in the post combined with some social media and see what happens. The nice thing about this business, is with media buy exchanges testing can be fairly inexpensive. I'm a big proponent of learning through mistakes (how I learned myself), so don't be afraid to get your hands dirty. Not going for it is literally what holds a lot of people back.

Movies is a big one, also stuff like software and games work big time.

I would hit up leadboltmike on skype. He was the one that wrote that post, he has run a ton of gateway traffic and he shares a lot of good tips to his members.

What if you dont actually have the software/game/movie? lol I mean how the hell would i even get it really? like if i do watch OSAMA GET KILLED VIDEO CLIP..

People will get mad, i will make monies so is that all that matters? they cant like report you or something right? I was just planning on making a lander with a video, but it actually just being an image or gif that acts like its loading..

Here is what I will say.....I took that gif and tested it out....not with a locker but just to a quiz.....

I got a .8 ctr but the conversions didn't work out right.....the clicks were at about 10-12 cents so its doable......I think you could even get that ctr higher if you tried.....I just lamed something up.....

also what I will add.....is do the demo on who installs those apps/skins......it might give you a better idea on who to market to....

Well it's a grey area, some campaigns just redirect people to the torrent link or the link to watch the movie online. I haven't done it personally. But I know quiet a few people who have made some big money doing this. I don't really know anyone who had their own software or movies...
