Safest tracker for FACEBOOK (12)

Safest tracker for FACEBOOK

Hi there

I am in the market for a tracking software.

I only run Facebook Ads at the moment, and want a method of tracking specific ads/parameters/UTM's that run to the same landing pages.

I'm using Convertri to build pages.

I've been looking into RedTrack as they seem to have all the bells and whistles as Voluum, but are cheaper and even have a free option. As you can see from above I need something simple as I am just looking to track the perfomance of specific ads on Clickbank.

Obviously looking for one that does not do redirects as this is a no-no with Facebook. Safety is my main concern as I do not need another added reason for Facebook to be shutting down my accounts.

If you could point me in the right direction that will be much appreciated(eg may not need a tracking software at all?)

Any info will be much appreciated,

Hi,

The choice of a tracker depends on features you need and of course on the main purpose you have.

If you are working with Facebook, they do provide their pixel so you will get initial stats there. But if you want to distribute your traffic to different offers depending on certain conditions, you will definitely need a tracker.

The choice of a tracker is always up to you. I advise you to test 2-3 options and see how each of it works for you.

On Adsbridge you get a 14-day trial and a personal account manager who can help you to set everything properly. The main advantage is that all features are available during this period. So basically you have a fully-featured support, access to all sections, you run your campaigns, earn and still don't have to pay anything for 2 weeks until you make your decision. I bet it's the best option on the market now for a very smooth and successful start.

But of course, it's up to you. If you have any questions, I will be glad to guide you!

Good luck with your first campaigns!

So it's all about the price then?

For Facebook, it's true - using a tracker is not so obvious and intuitive as you have Ads Manager. But the 'should I use a tracker and if yes, then which one' question was asked on STM before - you can check what all the STM legends had to say on the topic (@matuloo, @vortex, @manu_adefy)

And, in both cases, the guys asking went for Voluum in the end The price gets lower when can claim your STM discount: https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...t-62-per-month!

I'm here if you need any help - just say a word.
Cheers!

Thanks for the reply Karolina. As you have mentioned above I have the ads manager.

The main reason I need a tracker is to implement UTM’s for various ads, so looking for this best and cheapest option specifically for this.

Sure. That's how you could set it up in Voluum -

Don't use redirects (cause it's Facebook), instead send your traffic directly to your landing page, and - i.e. split test offers. Beside UTMs, you'll track a lot of other data points this way.

I'm not pushing - I know that even with the Entry plan, Voluum's probably not the cheapest option. Left you with all the necessary info you need - now you have everything to make up your mind

Well, if you are not specifically determined for Voluum but really trying to find the cheapest option for you, Adsbridge can offer you Starter plan.

It costs only 45$ per month but all features are available in contrast to our competitor. On annual basis, this plan will be even cheaper

I guess this should be definitely interesting for you!

I've tried Voluum for my fb ads tracking, but the first link I added to my account it was a red flag and got my ad disapproved. I wished Voluum would mention this publicly, becasue we can risk losing our ad account due their footprints.

I also linked a custom domain in their platform, but still facebook somehow detected.

Anyone seeing this same issues?

Hey @icemusike

Thanks for pointing it out - I've checked Voluum docs and you're right, the one about Facebook is written based on redirects - that needs to be fixed asap and based on DTP instead so I'll talk to our writer about it.

What method did you use for these campaigns? Redirect, right?

Truth is, Facebook doesn't like redirects. It doesn't really matter if you track with Voluum or other tracker - Facebook is not happy with your campaign as long as you are redirecting a user through a tracking link. That was one of the major factors behind developing the direct method of tracking which doesn’t need the redirect to collect all the data - DTP (direct tracking pixel).

Second thing, tracking domains. I admit - it might have been the case that Voluum legacy domains that back in the day were used by many users (they looked like this: legacydomain1.trackvoluum.com / legacydomain2.voluumtrk.com, ancient times...) were blocked by Facebook by default - they're 100% out of use now. A dedicated domain, assigned individually to your account, is yours only so you have a clean slate. As for custom domains - keep in mind that FB doesn't like "tracking" in domain's name. Other than that, if it's brand new and used along DTP, you should be good. There are quite a few things that can go wrong when setting this up, so you can always hit our support guys at support@voluum.com. They’ll be able to check your settings and tell you if something’s down and how to fix it.

Always check your urls with MyWot https://www.mywot.com

If it’s got a bad score, you will have issues with Facebook because they use the mywot data to help determine who to block.

Hi

A tracker gives you additional data about your campaigns which is important when you have offers from various affiliate networks even if you use just one traffic source (Facebook in this case).

Besides, you can track conversion statuses (like approved, declined) and check report slices based on this data. You can use that info to optimize your campaigns.

As said above, no redirects on Facebook, that’s the rule. At RedTrack we made a No-redirect script especially for Facebook. There’s a step-by-step guide on how to use it - feel free to ping me details.

By the way, RedTrack is the only tracker that supports s2s postback with Clickbank

A no-redirect script for tracking is an industry standard now, most (if not all) trackers provide a script to implement on a LP to avoid the initial redirect.

And Funnelflux is also integrated with Clickbank to get instant notifications sent to the tracker when conversions occur, though I think the integration is made via php file.

I believe if you want full clickbank integration and tracking, it’s better to have a tracker that integrates with the clickbank api and not just the s2s Postback.

That way you get accurate information on rebills and refunds as well
